INTRODUCTION
In the new section of Fantasyland that was formerly Mickey's Toontown Fair, you'll find the only roller coaster in Walt Disney World designed specifically for children. Formerly known as The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm, this roller coaster soars high above the Storybook Circus fun below, now featuring Goofy as The Great Goofini.
ATTRACTION --
The
Barnstormer featuring Goofy as the Great Goofini: The
entrance is marked by a circus-type ticket booth, to
go along with the overall theme of the Storybook Circus
area.
The coaster itself is designed to look like a 1920s stunt plane, in the tradition of classic air shows, with Goofy starring as the daredevil pilot, The Great Goofini. Along the very long queue are several cute vignettes featuring the antics of Goofini. After soaring high above the circus for just 90 seconds, in typical Goofy fashion, you finish the ride by safely "crashing" through a billboard.
TOURING TIPS
This is a very short coaster ride -- about 1.5 minutes! It takes longer to walk through the queue area than it does to ride the roller coaster!
Guests walking into Storybook Circus must make their way to the back of the area to find The Barnstormer to the right of Casey Jr. Splash 'n' Soak Station. If they choose to ride the Walt Disney Railroad, the coaster will be in sight once they walk away from the station. Although The Barnstormer tracks still are in the same place as they were previously, the queues have moved to the opposite side, near the train station.
The queue is LONG, and only portions offer some (not a lot) protection from the sun.
FastPass distribution is located inside the circus
tent adjacent to Pete's Silly Sideshow, which is on
the opposite side of Casey Jr. Splash 'n' Soak Station.
As you exit your aircraft, take a moment and
check out some of Goofini's gear, including First (and
Second) Aid kits.
Guests in ECVs must transfer to standard wheelchairs, then to the ride vehicle to experience The Barnstormer.
You must be at least 35" (89cm) tall to ride.
Expectant mothers are advised not to ride this attraction.
The nearest restrooms are housed in the nearby roundhouse used for the Casey Jr. Circus Train.
Stand near stroller parking to get great photos of the coaster traveling through the billboard. If you're in the Dumbo queue, you'll be able to see The Barnstormer crest the first hill.
KIDS AND CHARACTERS
This coaster was specifically designed for kids! Although this is a fairly tame roller coaster, it may still be too rough for children under 3.
Characters are housed in Pete's Silly Sideshow across from the Dumbo attraction. Choose a path to greet either Donald Duck and Goofy or Minnie Mouse and Daisy, each playing his or her own unique role at the circus and wearing a new costume. You can meet The Astounding Donaldo, the most charming of snake charmers; The Great Goofini, circus stuntman extraordinaire and star of this roller coaster; Minnie Magnifique, a Parisian poodle trainer; and Madame Daisy Fortuna, a mysterious gypsy fortuneteller.

DINING
Storybook Circus has three locations for food, two of which are located in the Big Top tents. Near the tent that houses the FastPass machines for Dumbo the Flying Elephant and The Barnstomer, guests will find hot dogs, hamburgers, pretzels and beverages. In Big Top Souvenirs, guests can watch baked goods and sweets being made before their eyes. Look for specialty cupcakes, including Dumbo, cotton candy and caramel corn varieties. Finally, the Storybook Treats snack cart along the walkway to Mad Tea Party offers sundaes, ice cream, shakes, floats and beverages.

SHOPPING
Big Top Souvenirs is the place to shop while you are visiting Storybook Circus. The store offers a wide selection of merchandise for kids and adults, much like the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. The front displays are reserved for Dumbo merchandise -- various plush, mouse ears, T-shirts, plates, mugs and children's clothes. There is limited merchandise specific to the other attractions, including a Storybook Circus T-shirt.
INTERESTING FACTS
The Barnstormer opened October 1, 1996. Previously, the site was Grandma Duck's Petting Farm in Mickey's Birthdayland (and had been since 6/18/88).
The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farms closed in February 2011 as part of the Fantasyland expansion. It reopened March 12, 2012 with its new Great Goofini theme.
The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm was one of three Disney attractions in the United States that took its name from Opryland USA theme park.
"The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm" has been honored with a remembrance. If you look behind "The Barnstormer" sign that graces the entrance, you can see the jumbled letters that once read "Wiseacre Farm."
The maximum speed for The Barnstormer is 25 miles per hour.
Goofy's Sky School is a similar attraction at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, Calif.
