Even on the coldest and rainiest of days in Disney World, we can’t really complain. It’s a magical place, after all! You don’t see many castles in the United States, so all of us lovers of all things fantasy and magic soak up every moment in Magic Kingdom we can.
But we’re not here just to gush about Disney World. We’re here to HELP you! That’s why every month, we look ahead and fill you in on all the changes happening in Disney World! Today, we’re back to take a look at the April calendar and share ALL the major changes happening in Disney World next month. Let’s go!
There’s a lot going on this April at Disney World. If you’re planning a trip to the parks, you’ll want to keep these big things on your radar.
A huge Hollywood Studios ride change is coming SOON!
There is one ride in Disney’s Hollywood Studios that typically has LOW wait times and small crowds. Yep, we’re talking about Star Tours. Don’t worry, though. This ride is changing in an EXCITING way! Disney revealed that NEW experiences are coming to Star Tours.
Once the ride is updated, you may be able to go on an adventure with Ahsoka Tano, Cassian Andor, and even Din Djarin and Grogu! We can’t WAIT to see how the ride will be different. These changes will begin on April 5th, 2024.
Oh, and you might see some higher-than-normal wait times at Star Tours on April 5th, as the Star Wars fans try to experience all the new ride combinations that will be possible. So look out if you’re in Disney’s Hollywood Studios that day.

1900 Park Fare is REOPENING!
A fan-favorite Disney World character meal (that has been closed since 2020) is reopening SOON! You’ll be able to dine with Aladdin, Cinderella, Tiana, and Mirabel at 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort — mark your calendars!
1900 Park Fare is reopening on April 10th at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort!
Disney recently shared a look at the NEW menu, too! The restaurant will reopen with some changes, like a few new menu offerings and new characters. Some classics, like the famous Strawberry Soup, will also return. If you’ve been waiting for this buffet to reopen, make sure to check it out this April!

Moonlight Magic is happening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
This one is for all our Disney Vacation Club members! Disney’s Moonlight Magic events are an exclusive DVC membership perk. During these events, guests can experience some FREE after-hours park access, complete with access to select attractions, character meet-and-greets, entertainment, and snacks!
If you’re interested in attending one of these events, set your alarms NOW! The next Animal Kingdom Moonlight Magic event is happening on April 23rd, and general registration opens April 11th. These events tend to fill up FAST, so you need to be quick to get those reservations.
Disney World Announces FULL LIST of Dates for 2024 Moonlight Magic Events
Another runDisney event is happening this April!
Attention racers, runners, and even fast-walkers! The rundisney Springtime Surprise Weekend will be happening April 18th to April 21st. Even if you’re not participating in the event, you might want to know these dates, as the parks are normally a little extra crowded around this time.
In fact, Disney is warning people that road access will be modified at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort due to the runDisney races on April 20th and April 21st. Per Disney, several roads will be operating under traffic restrictions or will be closed completely to accommodate runDisney events. Make sure to allow for additional travel time on those days!

Dapper Day’s Spring Outing is coming to Disney World!
Exciting news! The Dapper Day Spring Outing is happening in Disney World this April!
Look out for some sharp dressers around Disney World on April 20th and 21st. It’s going to be FUN!

A Flower and Garden Festival CHANGE begins soon!
The Farmers Feast food booth at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival will see some menu changes in April!
From April 28th through May 27th, look out for some NEW menu additions, including Seared Pork Tenderloin with corn risotto featuring Ben’s Original International Grains Arborio Rice and roasted red pepper sauce, along with a Peach Galette with ginger-vanilla whipped cream. YUM!
