Specialty Cruises are offered by some of the WDW Resorts. Book Specialty Cruises 90 days in advance. There's a 24-hour cancellation policy and a credit card is required to book it. The boat can accommodate up to 12 guests (10 adults and 2 children) or 10 adults. The resorts participating are: Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian, and Yacht and Beach Clubs. Specialty cruises are also available from the Downtown Disney Marketplace. Hours vary -- standard trip lasts 50 minutes. Prices vary depending on the party size, food, and decorations. To book a cruise, call (407) WDW-PLAY/(407) 939-7529. VIP Cruises are available on the Grand1, a 45-foot Sea Ray 450 Express Bridge yacht, offering private dining, butler service, and a captain. Cruises are for 1-13 people, starting at $375.58 per hour, with a one-hour minimum. Call 407-824-2682 for information/reservations. 24-hour cancellation notice required or you will be charged in full. Fireworks Cruises for IllumiNations and Wishes are offered through Disney's Yacht Club Marina and the Magic Kingdom resort marinas. To book a fireworks cruise, call (407) WDW-PLAY/(407) 939-7529. Birthday/Celebration Cruise -- Cruise for an hour on the lake and enjoy VIP fireworks viewing. Price: $211.26 for 21' Pontoon or $258.21 for the 25' Pontoon with Audio ($220 or $275 with tax) (price admits up to 10 if group is made up of all adults, 12 if group is a mix of children and adults) Hours: Departs 30 minutes prior to IllumiNations at Epcot or 30 minutes prior to Wishes at the Magic Kingdom. (NOTE: This is a slightly different cruise than the Fireworks cruises listed above.)
Port Orleans Riverside offers the Sassagoula River Adventure Cruise. Children travel along the Sassagoula River to learn the "Jester's" way of life. Along the way they explore the Sassagoula River and finally meet the character known as the Jester. The cruise is held Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. for children ages 4-12. Cost is $28.17 plus tax per child. Call 407-WDW-PLAY to make reservations. Island of the Caribbean Pirate Adventure - For children ages 4-10 (must be potty trained) -- young adventurers, wearing pirate bandannas, will board a boat to sail the Ports of the Caribbean, just like Captain Jack! They will be told the story of Old Port Royale and of the pirates that used to sail the waters. They will find props and signs leading to treasure. Once they recover the treasure, they will sail to Fort Cay and trade for some grub (lunch). When they return to Old Port Royale, they will unlock the treasure chest and bounty will be shared by all. As of 1/14/07, operates Sundays, as well as Tuesdays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. $28.17 per child pus tax. Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly Uncrustables, Gummy Bears, Gold Fish Treats, and Apple Juice Box.
