Grand1 Yacht

Book Specialty Cruises 90 days in advance. There's a 24-hour cancellation policy and a credit card is required to book it. The boat can accommodate up to 12 guests (10 adults and 2 children) or 10 adults. The resorts participating are: Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian, and Yacht and Beach Clubs. Specialty cruises are also available from the Downtown Disney Marketplace. Hours vary -- standard trip lasts 50 minutes. Prices vary depending on the party size, food, and decorations. Pirate and Pals Fireworks Voyage - Beginning July 13, 2009, this Magical Cruise is open to all guests (not just Grand Gathering Guests). The voyage will depart from the Contemporary resort (exact location provided when you make the reservation). The total price for Guests 10 and older will be $53.99 and for Guests 3 – 9, the total price will be $30.99. Reservations for the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage, can be made by contacting 407-WDW-PLAY (939-7529). You do not have to be a Walt Disney World resort guest to book this cruise.

The current Grand Gathering Experience includes (unclear if this will be the exact scenario once it opens to everyone): Snacks and beverages served in the Resort prior to meeting Mr. Smee and Captain Hook and boarding the boat. Then "shove off" on an evening voyage around the Seven Seas Lagoon, providing the perfect viewing location for WishesTM. You'll set sail with Patch, your Pirate host, for this unforgettable journey filled with Disney trivia and songs. (Disney characters do not join the Guests on the boat.) After enjoying the delightful Electrical Water Pageant (select nights) and Wishes fireworks show, which is set over Cinderella Castle, Patch will narrate a story of Peter Pan on the return trip. To everyone's delight, the story's namesake is waiting on shore to greet them, sign autographs and pose for photos. Guests who are celebrating special occasions such as family reunions, birthdays and anniversaries will be recognized.

VIP Cruises are available on the Grand1, a 45-foot Sea Ray 450 Express Bridge yacht, offering private dining, butler service, and a captain. Cruises are for 1-13 people, starting at $480.00 ($511.20 with tax) per hour, with a one-hour minimum. Fireworks Cruises for IllumiNations and Wishes are offered through Disney's Yacht Club Marina and the Magic Kingdom resort marinas. To book a fireworks cruise, call (407) WDW-PLAY/(407) 939-7529.

Birthday/Celebration Cruise -- Cruise for an hour on the lake and enjoy VIP fireworks viewing. Price: $211.26 for 21' Pontoon or $258.21 for the 25' Pontoon with Audio ($220 or $275 with tax) (price admits up to 10 if group is made up of all adults, 12 if group is a mix of children and adults) Hours: Departs 30 minutes prior to IllumiNations at Epcot or 30 minutes prior to Wishes at the Magic Kingdom. (NOTE: This is a slightly different cruise than the Fireworks cruises listed above.)

The Bayside Marina near the Yacht Club also offers a special Albatross Treasure Cruise for children ages 4-10 -- Children will wear bandannas as they follow clues and sail to many exotic "ports of call" around Crescent Lake and Epcot looking for treasure. During the voyage, children will hear a reading of "The Legend of the Albatross." At the final port of call, children will have lunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwich, cookie, and juice box, and will split up the "buried treasure." Held Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Children must be potty trained -- no pull-ups. Price is $30 plus tax per child. Reservations are recommended. A credit card guarantee is required, and there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. Call 407-WDW-PLAY.

Port Orleans Riverside offers the Bayou Pirate Cruise (formerly Sassagoula River Adventure Cruise). Little landlubbers (ages 4 to 12) can hunt for treasure on the "high seas" of Walt Disney World Resort. From the Port Orleans Marina you set sail on a discovery voyage, learn about a fearsome New Orleans pirate, enjoy a tasty meal and find treasure at every port. Requires advanced reservations. The cruise is held Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. for children ages 4-12. Cost is $28.17 plus tax per child. Call 407-WDW-PLAY to make reservations.

Grand Floridian offers Disney's Pirate Adventure. Little landlubbers (ages 4 to 12) can go on a two-hour hunt for treasure and adventure on the high seas of Disney's Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Eat a hearty lunch, learn pirate lingo and find treasure at every port. Requires advanced reservations. Cost is $28.17 plus tax per child. Call 407-WDW-PLAY to make reservations.

Island of the Caribbean Pirate Adventure - For children ages 4-10 (must be potty trained) -- young adventurers, wearing pirate bandannas, will board a boat to sail the Ports of the Caribbean, just like Captain Jack! They will be told the story of Old Port Royale and of the pirates that used to sail the waters. They will find props and signs leading to treasure. Once they recover the treasure, they will sail to Fort Cay and trade for some grub (lunch). When they return to Old Port Royale, they will unlock the treasure chest and bounty will be shared by all. As of 1/14/07, operates Sundays, as well as Tuesdays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. $28.17 per child pus tax. Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly Uncrustables, Gummy Bears, Gold Fish Treats, and Apple Juice Box.
