Fantasia Gardens
Miniature Golf

In 1996, WDW opened Fantasia Miniature Golf, which consists of Fantasia Gardens, "The Hippo-est Golf Around," and Fantasia Fairways, "A Miniature Golfing Adventure." The two courses are located behind the WDW Dolphin on Epcot Resorts Blvd.
Both courses are themed to, you guessed it, Disney's animated classic, Fantasia!
Fantasia Gardens features pirouetting gators, tutu-clad hippos and dancing water fountains. Putt your way through five musical sequences from Fantasia. The Gardens course is best suited for families and beginning golfers.

The whimsical course holes have names like Toccata and Fugue (good shots are rewarded with musical tones), The Nutcracker Suite (obstacles include dancing mushrooms), The Pastoral Symphony (a 40-foot-tall Mount Olympus complete with waterfalls), and "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," starring Mickey Mouse, his troop of out-of-control broomsticks and dazzling water effects.
The Fantasia Fairways (for the more serious golfers) challenges with exaggerated contours, menacing water hazards and diabolical sand traps. The layout combines par-three and par-four holes ranging in length from 40 to 75 feet. Par is 61 and covers 1,445 feet.
Fantasia Fairways is an innovative putting course designed to emphasize skill rather than chance. Names of holes include: Ave Maria, Legend of Yen Sid, Rite of Spring, Ostrich Island and Ballet of the Bunkers. The Starter Shack houses a snack bar and arcade, cashier for the golf course, and souvenirs. Look at your surroundings while you enjoy 18 holes -- the Tower of Terror looms in the background of part of the course and the magnificent Swan and Dolphin are also in full view.
HOURS: Open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Last round on
Fairways starts at 10:30 p.m.) For further information contact Guest
Services at your hotel or call 1-407-560-8760.
COST: Adults: $12.52; children (ages 3-9) $10.39 per round (prices, in effect March 2009, include tax). In addition, guests will receive one Walt Disney World Miniature Golf logo golf ball for each round played. Annual Passholder discounts MAY be available, so be sure to inquire. There's also a 50 percent discount on the second round played in the same day with proof of purchase.
TRANSPORTATION: Your best bet to reach Fantasia Gardens is to either walk from the Epcot resort area, or to drive.
DRIVING: Traveling west on Buena Vista Drive from DOWNTOWN DISNEY, turn right at the second Epcot Resorts Boulevard traffic signal. Traveling east from World Drive, on Buena Vista Drive, turn left at Epcot Resorts Boulevard traffic signal.
ON FOOT: From Disney's BoardWalk Resort, cut through the resort lobby to the Boardwalk. Turn left and continue to the end between Atlantic Dance and Jelly Rolls Piano Bar. Cross the bridge toward the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin and continue straight ahead to the street. Fantasia is on the left and the tennis courts are on the right. (If the big tent is set up, guests may walk through the tent.)
WDW
TRANSPORTATION: You
can get to Fantasia Gardens by taking WDW Resort transportation to
the Swan, followed by a short walk from the hotel.
If you take the
boat to the Swan/Dolphin, take a left once you walk up the
dock on the walkway and head towards the Swan. Before you get to entrance door of the
Swan, take a right and walk along the lake as it curves, passing the lap pool on your left. Once you pass the beach chairs and just before
you get to the beach volleyball area, turn left and follow the lighted sidewalk that goes across the street to Fantasia
Mini Golf. Not more than a 5 minute walk total. Use caution crossing the street on
foot!
