Since Southwest Airlines was first founded as Southwest Air in 1967, the airline’s low fair carrier model has made it one of the most used airlines in the country, and one that many Walt Disney World visitors use to fly into Orlando International Airport (MCO). Now, travelers from the Cincinnati area will have more opportunities to take Southwest to Disney.

According to Travel & Leisure, Southwest is adding additional flights to Orlando as part of a larger series of route additions this summer.

Beginning in June, Southwest will be adding two additional flights from Cincinnati to Orlando, bringing the number of weekly flights between the two cities to five, on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

For those Cincinnati-area residents now planning a trip to Orlando for the first time in a while, there are certain things to keep in mind about traveling to MCO, including getting through security, and the best ways to get from the airport to Disney World now that the Magical Express has been discontinued.
