Getting ready to fly to Disney World later this year and looking for the best deals? We’ve been there.
We keep you updated on all the latest flight news around Orlando so that you’re ready for your next trip. Most people fly into Orlando International Airport (MCO) when they go to Disney World, but there’s ANOTHER airport about an hour away from Walt Disney World Resort that now has new flights!
According to the Orlando Business Journal, the Orlando Sanford International Airport, located in Sanford, Florida, about an hour from Disney World by car, has added new flights from the northeast.
These new flights are from Allegiant Air, a Nevada-based budget airline. On February 16th, they started flying from the Greater Rochester International Airport in Rochester, New York, to Orlando Sanford International Airport three times a week.
These nonstop flights average $50–$180 per person, depending on the time of year. However, similar to other budget airlines, it does cost extra to fly with a carry-on bag and/or checked bag. Your personal item is free no matter what level of ticket you get.
