Universal just dropped a TON of news about their newest theme park — Epic Universe — opening in 2025.
We learned about all the new lands that we’ll get to explore, what sort of restaurants we’ll be able to dine at, and even some of the rides we’ll get to experience. And, we also got a potential hint about a NEW Harry Potter ride!
Universal is keeping us on our toes with a ton of announcements about Epic Universe, and we’re certainly not complaining! As part of those announcements, it was confirmed that a new Harry Potter-inspired world would be coming to the new theme park.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic will be where guests can discover a “different era” of the wizarding world in an all-new land that blends 1920s wizarding Paris from Fantastic Beasts along with “the iconic British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter series.”
We don’t have a whole lot of details about the new addition, but Universal did share that a new ride would be coming to this land! It sounds like it’s going to be a pretty amazing one, too, as they’ve promised it “has to be a surprise,” and thus aren’t sharing any details just yet.
Could we see a Ministry of Magic Floo ride? Allegedly, guests will be transported from Paris to London through the magical Floo Network transportation system. Once they arrive, they’ll be whisked onto magic “elevators” — actually the next generation of the Scoop vehicle system seen on The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man and Transformers rides — on an adventure featuring the loathsome Potter villain Professor Dolores Umbridge as its primary antagonist.
That sounds like it could be pretty epic, indeed. We’ll have to wait for more details to come out, but you can be sure we’ll keep you updated with all the latest news about Epic Universe and more!
