Three new Disney food kiosks are slated to open in Disney Springs this summer: Aristocrepes, with sweet and savory crepes; The Daily Poutine, which will have variations on the French-Canadian specialty of fries, gravy and cheese, along with four different toppings, and B.B. Wolf's Sausage Co. featuring artisan sausages.

Amorette's Patisserie, in the new Town Center area of Disney Springs, is set to open this May 15. Classic and contemporary cakes and pastries are the stars in this high-end pastry shop where guests can watch pastry chefs decorate signature cakes in the on-stage finishing kitchen. Even the beautiful boutique-style packaging, inspired by old-fashioned hatboxes, lends to the sophisticated feel of the location.

Recently I had the opportunity to preview the new Three-Course Menu that will be offered at Tutto Italia this summer. Tutto Italia is located in Epcot's World Showcase in the Italy pavilion. This summer special menu will debut on May 3 and be available until August 31. The lunch includes one appetizer, one main course, one dessert and a soft drink (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, ginger ale, iced tea).

Families who want to get an early start at Magic Kingdom may be interested in a new offering called Disney Early Morning Magic.

Starting April 26, the Disney Early Morning Magic package will allow a very limited number of guests to be the first to enter Magic Kingdom on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. (Disney Early Morning Magic does NOT take the place of morning Extra Magic Hours, which will be offered on different dates.) The package includes breakfast and early access to three attractions: Peter Pan's Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Cost is $69 for adults, $59 for children, plus tax.

The Sense of Africa experience at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a 3.5-hour breakfast and tour designed to immerse guests in the culture and history of the resort while giving a backstage peek at the care and feeding of the resident animals. The tour begins with breakfast at Boma-Flavors of Africa, followed by encounters with animals such as okapi, giraffe, ostriches and red river hogs. Sense of Africa will be offered on Tuesday and Saturday mornings beginning April 9. The cost is $249. Reservations may be made by calling 407-WDW-TOUR (939-8687) starting April 5. NOTE: Staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is NOT required. Experiences may vary.

The adjacent Nomad Lounge will have beautiful waterfront views, and will focus on storytelling, and also on guests' travels, with large banners as "artistic representations" of answers to travel questions written on the perimeter wall.

More dates have been added for Afternoon Tea at Crescent Solarium at Disney's Beach Club Resort. The tea is now available for booking: April 14-17, May 5-8, June 16-19, July 1-4, August 11-14 and September 1-5. There are several tea service options available: Sea Side Park Tea, which includes a selection of artisan cheeses and seasonal accompaniments, petit sandwiches and canapes on house-made breads, scones served with clotted cream, lemon curd and seasonal jam, and house-made pastries and tea cookies, all accompanied by your choice of loose-leaf tea; Sandy Cove Tea, which includes everything in the Sea Side Park Tea except the cheese course; Prince Cove Tea, which features house-made charcuterie and cheese plate, along with the scones, pastries and tea cookies, and your choice of loose-leaf tea; and Short Sands Beach Tea for guests ages 3-9 (assorted tea sandwiches shaped like Mickey Mouse, scone served with clotted cream, lemon curd and seasonal jam, chocolate chip cookies, accompanied with special "dark tea" (chocolate milk). Additional details about D-Luxe Burger, a new Disney-owned and operated restaurant that is set to open at Disney Springs Town Center this May, have been released. Gourmet burgers on the menu include:
Classic Cheeseburger: beef patty topped with cheddar, lettuce, tomato and pickle
Barbeque Classic Burger: beef patty topped with a fried onion ring, smoked Gouda, bacon, barbecue sauce and lettuce
El Diablo Burger: chorizo-and-signature-blend patty, fried banana peppers, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayonnaise
Southern Classic Burger: beef patty, topped with fried-green tomato, pimento cheese, lettuce and bacon
Cluck Burger: ground chicken patty, garlic herb sauce, avocado, lettuce and tomato
Veggie Burger: house-made patty topped with Tzatziki, green bean salad, lettuce and tomato

D-Luxe Burger also offers fresh-cut fries and a choice of dipping sauces to go along with its sandwiches. The menu also features a changing list of artisanal gelato shakes that may include vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, strawberry, salted caramel, s'mores and cake. Root beer, Cherry Coke and orange soda floats are also offered. For the adults there are hard sodas, draft beer and cider, as well as shakes with spirits like Smoked Bourbon and Beer and Godiva Raspberry. One specialty dessert item is the Red Velvet Burger Macaron, handcrafted to look like a burger, right down to the faux (raspberry) 'ketchup.'

Beaches and Cream at the Yacht and Beach Club is now serving several "adult" floats and milkshakes with added liquor. Prices range from $11.25 to $12.

O'Donnell, who has led kitchens from Los Angeles to Jacksonville, will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations at the two-level, 15,000-square-foot steakhouse, which is one of the largest STK restaurants in the world.
