ESPN Wide World of Sports EntranceESPN Wide World of Sports (WWoS) (rebranded from Disney’s Wide World of Sports on February 25, 2010) complex is designed to make even the most casual observer’s heart skip a beat as you walk into the 200-acre state-of-the-art sports complex in Orlando, Florida. This ulimate sports experience will appeal to the young and old, professional, amateur, and spectator alike.

Disney has secured arrangements with major sporting organizations including the NFL, NBA, NCAA and PGA, who will host annual events at the complex. The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) has relocated its headquarters here.

Here’s a glimpse at some of the facilities:

12 lighted Hard-Tru tennis courts

General Spectator Admission — Spectator Admission gives you access to most amateur events at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. If you are not an athlete or coach participating in an event, tickets may be purchased at the Complex Box Office.

Adults (ages 10 and higher): $14.50
Children (ages 3 – 9): $10.00

TRANSPORTATION — Bus transportation to ESPN Wide World of Sports is available from Disney’s All-Star Resorts, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort on a limited schedule: Thursday – Monday 5 – 11 p.m. These buses will also run when events are taking place at the Sports Complex one hour prior to Sports Complex opening until 11 p.m. or Sports Complex close, whichever is later.

During the scheduled operating hours, buses from Disney’s All-Star Resorts, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort to ESPN Wide World of Sports will arrive at the Sports Complex on the hour and half-hour.

ESPN Wide World of Sports is located right in the heart of Walt Disney World. Take I-4 to the 192 West exit. On 192 West, go to the first exit, World Drive. On World Drive, take the first exit, Osceola Parkway. Then go to the first traffic light, Hawaiian Blvd. and take a right.

PARKING is available at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. General parking is free and valet parking is available on select event dates for a fee. In the event the Sports Complex parking lots fill to capacity, guests will be directed to alternate parking locations.

STROLLERS are prohibited inside the Jostens Center and HP Field House. Designated stroller parking is available outside the venues.

WHEELCHAIRS — For guests who need assistance, a limited number of wheelchairs are available at the Information Booth. Valid photo identification is required to secure a wheelchair. Wheelchairs are for use only at the Sports Complex.

CONCESSION/DINING FACILITIES — Grab a bite and catch up on the day’s sports highlights on the big screens at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill. (Paid admission to the complex is required for entry here.) Pick something up on the go at concession locations throughout the complex.

PLAYSTATION PAVILION — Adjacent to the grill is the PlayStation Pavilion, which houses 64 gaming stations (16 pods, each with four games), plus a kiosk featuring the game Singstar. Five different games are currently available for play, including brand new titles not yet available to the public. Visitors to the pavilion will be able to register a unique gamer name and pay for play time in increments of 30, 60 or 90 minutes ($5 for 30 minutes of play).

WEATHER POLICY — In case of lightning or other severe weather conditions, all competition will be halted and all guests will be directed by public address announcements and Disney cast members to an appropriate shelter.

PETS or animals, except service animals (seeing eye dogs, hearing dogs, etc.), are not permitted into ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
