The Secret Detail You’ll Need to LISTEN for at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World

We’re inching closer to the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World!

The model for the ride

The ride is set to open this summer in Magic Kingdom, and we’ve been watching all the construction updates and looking out for new details to be announced. Now, we have an update about one of the secrets you’ll find in the queue!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is in part inspired by New Orleans culinary legend Leah Chase, who passed away in 2019. To celebrate her legacy, NOLA reports that her entire family has been invited down to Disney World to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure before its opening.

But that’s not all! Leah Chase’s daughter, who is also named Leah, is a musician. She recorded a version of the song “Do You Know What it Means to Miss New Orleans?” that will play in the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure queue! This sound bite will be part of a faux radio show that Magic Kingdom visitors will listen to while they wait in line.

Construction in the queue

This is another big detail we’ve learned about the ride’s queue, which we previously revealed will also feature the smell of beignets. It sounds like it’s going to be an immersive waiting experience.
