We’ve seen new DVC rooms added to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is getting a brand new section with new DVC villas. Disney also recently unveiled its new DVC Cabins at Fort Wilderness, but now, we’ve got a NEW look inside one of those cabins.

Disney just released a new video showcasing some of the details you’ll find inside the new DVC cabins at Fort Wilderness.  For starters, the cabins feature a pull-down Murphy bed (similar to the ones at Disney’s value resorts). However, the “wall” of the pulldown features some very cool artwork of Mickey inspired by vintage posters of U.S. National Parks. In the art, Mickey and Pluto are arriving at Fort Wilderness with a trailer just like the one in the 1938 animated short “Mickey’s Trailer.”

You’ll also find canoe details added outside the cabin’s bunk beds. Each paddle is custom-colored in reference to Mickey Mouse and his friends. How fun!

You’ll find a collage of posters framed in the cabin’s bedroom. One of those postcards is for River Country, a water park that Disney operated from 1976 through 2001.

The cabins also come equipped with a lot of smart additions, like storage cabinets under the bunk beds and hidden charging ports.  You’ll also find a stepstool for shorter kids underneath the bathroom counter.

Cabins also feature a lot of details referring to Chip ‘n’ Dale, including a framed print of Chip ‘n’ Dale promoting archery activities at Fort Wilderness, on the curtains covering the cabin’s windows, and on slices of logs on the bedroom wall.

It’s nice to see Disney leaning into more noticeable Disney details for the new cabins, especially when so many of the newer rooms tend to have more subtle nods to Disney movies and characters.

Select DVC bookings are available now for the new cabins, which officially open on July 1st.
