If you’re a Disney fan, there’s a good chance you’ve heard all about their plans to expand the parks and experiences available.
In 2023, Disney announced that Disney’s Animal Kingdom would undergo quite a few changes, including an expansion and re-theme of the current DinoLand, U.S.A.. The re-theme is currently set to include aspects of the Tropical Americas and could include Disney IP ranging from Encanto and Coco to even things like Indiana Jones. We have a whole new look of the planned expansion now, so let’s check it out!
Walt Disney Imagineering showed a brand new look at some of the concept art and 3D rendering currently being used to plan the expansion themed to the Tropical Americas.
The renderings look SO COOL and we can only imagine what they’d look like in the parks — at their full size and with some color. It seems that in this area, there will be lots of stairs that could double as seating, sort of like an amphitheater vibe.
They also showed what seems to be a large courtyard sort of area. As frequent park visitors, it excites us to see big, open spaces that will allow some of that foot traffic to not be so dense.
We also saw a glimpse at a taller building that could be there. Could this even be a RIDE?!

I really hope the tall building is a tour through the Madrigal House, maybe like a Haunted Mansion, but without the scary theme, but an Omnimover going to different “rooms”.
The Jungle Room, the flowers room, the weight room or something for Luisa, the kitchen for Mom.
