FIRST LOOK at the NEW Power Up Cafe in Super Nintendo World

Something NEW has arrived at Universal’s Super Nintendo World!

Mario and Luigi!

Last year, we got a chance to visit the newly-opened land at Universal Studios Hollywood, where we rode Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, checked out all the fun merchandise, and met quite a few characters. Of course, we were really excited about the food at Toadstool Cafe. Well, another restaurant will be opening in Super Nintendo World soon, and we’ve got your first look at it!

That restaurant is Power Up Cafe, and it’s set to officially open on February 15th. When we visited Super Nintendo World, there was a soft opening, so we got to check it out EARLY!

Inside, you’ll find some FUN details and artwork, like this homage to Super Mario Bros. We’ll warn you, though: it is a pretty small space. This is just a quick spot to grab a snack.

Fun details

You order from this Super Mario Brothers-inspired counter.

You’ll find four themed snacks here, including two calzones, a pretzel, and popcorn…

The Super Mushroom Calzone is a mushroom-shaped calzone filled with pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce. These might be the cutest calzones we’ve ever seen.

The Fire Flower Pretzel is a fire flower-shaped pretzel. OBSESSED! (Though it’s a little light on salt.)

It’s SO cute

It’s served with chipotle cheese, mustard, and white queso dipping sauces.

You can also get the Super Star Popcorn, which is topped with edible glitter.

As we mentioned, there are some SUPER fun drinks here, too, including the 1-Up Mushroom Fizz, made with lemon-lime soda, strawberry popping pearls, and a strawberry Super Mushroom Power Up. Isn’t it cute?

We also grabbed the Fire Flower Fizz, which is lemon-lime soda with orange popping pearls, and a mango habanero Fire Flower Power Up.
