NEWS: Universal Orlando Announces Holiday Experiences for 2023!

Where are you spending the holiday season this year?

Maybe you’re going home for the holidays to spend time with family. Or, you might be planning a trip to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Disney World. If you’re thinking about heading to Universal Orlando, we’ve got some big updates for you!

Universal Orlando just announced the dates for its holiday season! You can expect festivities in the theme parks from November 17th through December 31st, 2023.

Universal is offering up holiday experiences for you to keep fa-la-la-la-la–ing throughout the entire holiday season. Let’s take a look at everything you can expect!

Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will once again brighten the night sky in both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure.

Watch for the mystery of holiday magic to fill The Wizarding World of Harry Potter when the streets of both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade transform into a wizarding holiday wonderland. In each land of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you’ll find festively themed décor, lights, garland, and more to keep your spirits merry and bright.

The nighttime spectacular, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle,” will be returning to Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure once again. This stunning projection show brings some of your favorite characters and scenes to life on the iconic castle while highlighting Christmas moments and holiday spirit inspired by stories of the “Harry Potter” films.

The Frog Choir, comprised of Hogwarts students and their giant croaking frogs will also return to Hogsmeade with a few special holiday-themed performances. Additionally, be on the lookout for the toe-tapping sensation of Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees as they don their festive best and deliver a showstopping performance in Diagon Alley.

Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s at Universal Studios returns once again!

This holiday must-do features larger-than-life parade floats and balloons as they waltz through the park each night. You can anticipate seeing a few familiar faces from beloved stories and movies like characters from Despicable Me, Shrek, Madagascar, and more Dreakworks animations. Make sure you stay through the entire parade to catch a friendly hello from Santa Claus as he lights up the 80-foot Christmas tree in New York.

Everyone’s favorite holiday grouch is taking over Universal Islands of Adventure for Grinchmas once again!

Take in the spirit of Grinchmas at Universal Islands of Adventure where the Grinch and a few of the Whos of Whoville star in the live retelling of the Dr. Seuss holiday classic, the “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular.” Just don’t expect the Grinch to be as ecstatic about it as you may be.

During the day and night, Seuss Landing transforms into a whimsical atmosphere decked to the halls with oversized candy canes, twisty Christmas trees, stunning tinsel ornaments, and more. You may even be able to catch a few appearances from the Whos from Who-ville and a special photo op that will bring you face-to-face with the mean one himself, the, the, the… the Grinch.

There is also a Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast starting at $58.99 per person!

Mannheim Steamroller will once again lend their musical musings at Universal Studios Florida.

The top-selling holiday artist of all time, Mannheim Steamroller, will be returning to help you get into the holiday spirit with limited live performances on December 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th.

Universal’s Holiday Tour will return as a special after-hours event.

With this special add-on to your day, you can enjoy a multi-hour guided tour that gives you special access to all the holiday entertainment experiences taking place across both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure, including:

• A chance to meet and greet with the Grinch, and his dog, Max, while enjoying small bites, desserts, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Reserved seating at the “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular” in Universal Islands of Adventure
• A meet-and-greet photo opportunity with Santa Claus in Universal Studios Florida
• An exclusive, after-hours showing of “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure to complete the night’s festivities

This experience will be available on select nights beginning November 19th through December 30th, 2023 and pricing will start at $79.99 per person. It’s also important to note that because this experience starts before the end of the regular park day park admission with a minimum of a 1-day park to park ticket is also required for this experience per person. Annual and Seasonal Passholders can get $10 off per ticket per passholder with a valid Annual or Seasonal Pass. Tickets for passholders can be purchased over the phone or by visiting the UOAP Lounge in Universal Islands of Adventure. Pay attention to those regular Seasonal and Power Pass blackout dates because those will still apply.
