I’ve Stayed at EVERY Disney World Hotel. Here’s Why Beach Club Resort Is Worth It

I have stayed in every single Disney World hotel, so I know a lot about what you can expect from accommodations in the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Each hotel has its own reasons that it might (or might not be) worth it to stay there — including a very expensive favorite, Disney’s Beach Club Resort. This deluxe resort is located steps away from EPCOT, but that prime location comes at a hefty price. With standard rooms running between $540 and $1,120 per night, let’s talk about why Beach Club might be worth it!

So let’s talk about what might make the Beach Club worth it for you.

The Theme

Beach Club has one of the more upscale themes as Disney World hotels go. As you might guess, it’s beach-themed! Specifically, the resort is designed with the New England seaside in mind and has a sort of luxury Hamptons feel to it.

You’ll notice this theme executed through art and decor around the hotel, with some of the most notable details being the lighthouse-inspired lobby and the light blue beachy color palette. My favorite part is that the lobby even has a signature smell! While you’re checking in or lounging, you’ll smell hints of green clover and aloe in the air.

The Location

The biggest reason to stay here for me is the location! Beach Club is located closer to a Disney World park than any other hotel. It sits on the BoardWalk in the EPCOT resort area, fewer than 125 steps to the park entry (Trust me, I counted!). That kind of accessiblity to a Disney park is pretty amazing, and for a lot of people, worth the hefty prices.

On top of that, you can also take a 20- to 30-minute walk to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or take a short boat ride over — much easier than taking the bus! You even have access to the Walt Disney World Skyliner at the EPCOT station! This is truly the best Disney hotel when it comes to getting around. Even for Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you’re looking at shorter bus rides with its central location.

Friendship Boat

And, like I said, it’s on the BoardWalk! This means you can access shopping and dining at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin with ease. Just across the street you can also find the Swan Reserve and Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf.

Beach Club

For the location alone, I typically consider the Beach Club to be the deluxe resort I would choose if I was ever shelling out that much money for my stay.

The Rooms

Some consider Beach Club worth it for the rooms! Not only does that lovely beach theme extend into each guest room, but there are also a number of room categories to meet your needs — from standard rooms to suites and club level access!

Beach Club is also currently under refurbishment until late Fall 2023, with many of the villas (the Disney Vacation Club offerings) receiving refurbishment. Not many details have been shared, but newly refurbished rooms are exciting. Regardless of your room type you’ll get standard Disney World amenities like mini fridges and some less common ones like balconies!

Dining Options

Another reason you might consider a stay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is the dining options! And, hey, you don’t have to stay there to experience these either, so it might be worth swinging by for lunch.

Goofy at Cape May Cafe

Two of the most popular spots are Cape May Cafe, where guests can experience a buffet breakfast (complete with Disney pals), or a seafood dinner, and Beaches and Cream, a classic American diner with favorites like Grilled Cheese and the colossal Kitchen Sink sundae. Beach Club Marketplace is also a great spot for a quick service meal!

Beaches and Cream

And, with that prime location, you have access to tons of restaurants at the nearby hotels and way, way more when you have EPCOT park admission. Beach Club certainly might be a go-to spot for foodies.

Amenities

As a deluxe level hotel, Beach Club has some awesome amenities. For one, along with Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, this hotel shares an incredibly unique pool. Stormalong Bay is less of a pool and more of a mini water park with a huge pirate-themed slide, a sand-bottom pool, and a lazy river. For pool-loving families, it’s a massive bonus to staying at this resort.

Yacht & Beach Club Pool

The pool is also strictly limited to those staying at Yacht and Beach, so it’s not typically over-crowded. Nearby, this hotel also offers the state-of-the-art Ship Shape Health Club (a fitness center) and other recreation like bike rentals and fishing excursions.

Beach Club

So, while Beach Club certainly can feel egregiously expensive, it has some offerings that you just can’t find elsewhere in Disney World. I find it hard to beat the pro of being so, so close to EPCOT, and Stormalong Bay is a resort amenity like no other in Disney World. For these reasons, you might find Beach Club worth the spend. 1. I wonder if the mussels are sourced from Prince Edward Island like the ones at Jiko at AKL. They’re supposed to be the best. $13 is a bargain.
