We love Disney water parks almost as much as we love the theme parks! And while we love the freak snow storm that brings us Blizzard Beach, with crazy slides and big waves, Typhoon Lagoon is a wet and wild paradise!
There is so much to do — so where are we heading first? Here are our five must-dos at Typhoon Lagoon!
1. Surf Pool
Can’t go to Typhoon Lagoon without experiencing the Lagoon! It’s North America’s largest wave pool and produces six-foot waves every few minutes.
Make sure to hang on to your sunglasses — and your children; these waves are no joke! If you’ve got little ones, we recommend staying in the shallows of the wave pool. They’ll still get the fun of water moving to and fro, but the deeper you go, the bigger the waves, and they can bring grown humans to their (very painful) knees.
2. Crush N’ Gusher
This ain’t your average tube slide! Crush N’ Gusher is a water ROLLER COASTER. There are 3 different slides, and you can go as a solo or double tube, so prepare to ride again. and again. and again.
3. Castaway Creek
Feel like something a little more relaxing? Then take a lap on Castaway Creek, Typhoon’s Lazy River! You can jump in — or off — at five different landings around the park, making it a fun way to travel!
There are several types of tubes floating along as well, so grab one and get to relaxing!
4. Miss Adventure Falls
This is one the whole family can enjoy! There’s no height requirement on this family adventure — just grab three pals and jump aboard this tube ride down the falls!
5. Eat a Sand Pail Ice Cream Sundae
You’re going to need some sugar to fuel your day of fun in the sun, and what’s better than ice cream? Ice Cream in a Sand Pail, of course!
Find this fun, shareable treat at Happy Landings Ice Cream and Snack Shack. Dig into a pail full of soft-serve ice cream, caramel, hot fudge, Oreo Cookies and waffle cone pieces topped with whipped cream, and Mickey sprinkles with a cherry on top!
