Those of you who are regular followers of our weekly columnist, Anita Answer on AllEars.Net, know that yesterday's column was Anita's final one. It's with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to this AllEars® mainstay, and our dear friend, Andrea McKenna, who, in the guise of her alter ego Anita, provided some of the most entertaining and informative answers about all aspects of Walt Disney World here or anywhere on the internet. This column's end also signals the departure of Anita's faithful editor, Ditto (AKA Dotti Saroufim), who worked tirelessly to make sure that the column was always up-to-date and on time. Andrea's and Dotti's significant contributions to AllEars.Net over the last several years will be sincerely missed. But, as Anita herself has said, when one door closes another opens, and we realize that this is not truly goodbye to our dear friends -- we will always stay in touch with them, even as they head down different paths. Please join us in wishing Andrea and Dotti all the best in all their future endeavors, and be sure to read Anita's farewell column. As you may have heard, Anita and her family had to evacuate their home prior to Hurricane Ike's strike on the Gulf Coast of Texas this past weekend. They are safe and mostly dry, however Anita had no power or phone service and was unable to write her column this week. Instead, she turned the computer keyboard over to her friend Flo, who answered questions on Parking Fees; where Roy O. Disney's statue is located; Castle Dream Lights for 2008; what happens in stormy weather; a Mardi Gras Parade at French Quarter; and a Hidden Mickey inside the Haunted Mansion.
Anita hopes to be back next week with an update on the omnibuses of Epcot, the Del and the Grand, and more of the usual fun stuff and information. Until then, please keep a good thought for those in the Houston/Galveston/Beaumont area.
