Why should you stay in a Disney World hotel during your vacation? Well, because some perks come along with your visit!
Guests of Disney World hotels can enjoy perks like Early Theme Park Entry, early booking for Individual Lightning Lanes, and the option to make all the dining reservations for their trip at once, 60 days before the vacation starts. But outside of those things, there’s one other perk you may have forgotten about!
A few years ago, Disney World hotel guests were able to get basic MagicBand designs for free with their hotel stay. That perk was discontinued a while back, but you can still get DISCOUNTS on MagicBands if you order them through your My Disney Experience account before your stay. Pictured below are some of the options currently available.
There are a limited number of design choices available at a time, but you can usually snag them for a few dollars cheaper than if you purchase them outright in the parks. Currently, Disney is offering both discounted MagicBand 2 designs and MagicBand+ designs.
It’s not necessary to have a MagicBand or MagicBand+ for your vacation, but they can be convenient. The band can be used to unlock your hotel room door, scan into the parks, scan in at Lightning Lanes, and charge purchases to your hotel room.
Many of those same features can be accessed by using your phone, so MagicBands aren’t as popular as they used to be. MagicBand+ does have the unique ability to light up and display haptic effects during certain attractions and fireworks shows, though. MagicBand+ also interacts with the Disney Fab 50 character statues around the parks.
So the next time you plan a Disney World trip, don’t wait until you arrive to buy your MagicBand! Make good use of all those hotel guest perks, and it’ll make your visit much more enjoyable.
