Annual Passholders Lounge
This lounge
was only available temporarily in the summer of 2002, until 9/30/02.

Annual Passholders who need a break while tracking the creatures at Disney's Animal Kingdom have a new place to cool off now through September 30, 2002. A new Annual Passholder lounge is located in Pizzafari, the counter service restaurant in the park's Discovery Island area.
You can reach the lounge two ways. From within Pizzafari, ask a Cast Member to point you to the correct, unmarked doors located in the rear of the restaurant. Or enter by walking down the path to the left of the restaurant's main entrance -- the lounge entrance is clearly marked.
Once
inside, you'll find a comfy (but seemingly NOT air-conditioned?!), bug-themed
lounge with tables and chairs situated around the circular room. There's
a television, a water cooler and access to a telephone for free local
calling -- including the option of making dining priority seating arrangements.
For the kids, there is a variety of board games (including Disney Monopoly!),
and even a few arcade games, such as a Star Wars animated pinball
game.

Annual
Passholders can obtain information on getting
priority seating for the Festival of the Lion King show by showing
their valid AP at this lounge. They are also eligible for an exclusive
Annual Passholder viewing area for the park's Mickey's Jammin' Jungle
Parade, held each afternoon. Space for each of these special areas
is limited, so be sure to visit the lounge early in the day. (There's
no pre-booking.)
There
is also a colorfully decorated and very private outdoor seating area.
It's very quiet here -- you'd hardly realize that the hub-bub of the park
was just a few steps away!
The Animal Kingdom Annual Passholder Lounge is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from now until at least the end of September.
