We’ll have to admit that we’ve been enjoying the relative peace and quiet in Disney World after the Spring Break crowds left.
But things will pick back up soon enough. First, we expect summer to be a little busier than usual, especially with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening in Magic Kingdom PLUS the reopening of Country Bear Jamboree. But this weekend could be SUPER busy, too.
If you’re visiting Disney World during the weekend of April 20th and 21st, we’ve got a word of warning for you: The parks might be VERY busy. For starters, this weekend is the Dapper Day Spring Outing in Disney World. If you’re not familiar with Dapper Day, it’s an unofficial event where Disney World visitors dress up in vintage fashions to visit the parks.
April 20th is Dapper Day in EPCOT with the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival. You’ll also be able to shop at the Dapper Day pop-up shop in EPCOT from April 17th through 21st. You’ll find the shop at The American Adventure Pavilion. April 21st is Dapper Day in Magic Kingdom.
But that’s not the only thing going on this weekend. The runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend is April 17th through April 20th, so you can expect some of those crowds to overlap with the Dapper Day crowds. Note that this event will also affect traffic around Disney World — especially early Saturday morning.
So if you don’t have to be in Disney World this weekend, you might want to avoid the parks.

We thought we navigate our Disney trip around both events but there seem to be those cheerleaders on the near horizon…during the same time we’re there…4/23-5/4…Hoping also to avoid the Star Wars party on May 4th……cutting it all way too close.
