Summer is coming!
Wanna know how we know? A Disney World hotel pool has finally reopened! Now there’s only one more pool left to reopen and several attractions. We’re taking a look at what’s closed in Disney World this week — let’s go!
Fuentes del Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
The Fuentes del Morro pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has reopened as of March 30th! We wanted to make you aware that you can now hang out at this pool once again.
Nearly in time for summer and warm days, this pool will finally be taken off the closed attractions list! For other options, you can also head to any of the other leisure pools at Caribbean Beach Resort.
Now, let’s take a look at what will still be closed the week of March 31st through April 6th!
Magic Kingdom
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Splash Mountain closed on January 23rd, 2023, and the new ride taking its place will remain closed until the summer of 2024.
Disney is re-theming the ride to give it a Princess and the Frog theme. When it reopens, it’ll be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! We recently noticed some major changes like Imagineers riding it for testing as well as some of the walls finally coming down.
The internet is convinced this is a secret clue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
Country Bear Jamboree
Country Bear Jamboree is currently being reimagined in Magic Kingdom! The show closed on January 27th and should reopen with the new, updated show sometime this summer.

The set features three Country Bears: Teddi Barra, Big Al, and Henry.
Tomorrowland Terrace
Tomorrowland Terrace in Magic Kingdom has only ever been open occasionally, usually during particularly busy seasons. However, it’s been a LONG time since we’ve seen this spot open.
Currently, it’s only used for Magic Kingdom dessert parties.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed on January 8th and will remain closed for a pretty long time. The ride is expected to reopen in the summer of this year, which means the refurbishment will last at least a few more months.
We don’t have an exact reopening date yet, but we’ll keep you updated when we learn more!

Voyage of the Little Mermaid
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid as we know it will NOT return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s closed now, and Disney has confirmed that this show has permanently closed to make way for an updated version.
“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure”, an all-new stage show, will replace the show in the Animation Courtyard theater in Fall 2024.

EPCOT
Restaurant Marrakesh
Restaurant Marrakesh is kind of closed and kind of not.
The restaurant is technically open, but just as a lounge (not as an actual restaurant). We’re still waiting for the full experience to return!

Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon was closed for several months, but it finally opened on March 17th, 2024! Woo hoo!
However, on that same day (March 17th) Blizzard Beach closed for refurbishments. Since it just closed, we do not know when it will reopen again, but typically the two water parks will flip-flop being open.
We’ll be watching for news of its reopening, but for now, head over to Typhoon Lagoon!

1900 Park Fare
Disney has announced that the 1900 Park Fare restaurant at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa will REOPEN on April 10th! In about one week, we’ll finally get to dine here again!
We’re so close to the reopening date, that Disney has been releasing more and more info for the restaurant! It will still be a buffet, but there will be new menu items available. Disney recently opened reservations for the character meal and revealed the new full menu!
In the past, you could meet characters like Winnie the Pooh, Mary Poppins, Cinderella, and Prince Charming during what Disney called “Supercalifragilistic Breakfast,” but it has been revealed that new characters will join the meal.

Doubloon Lagoon Pool at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter
The Doubloon Lagoon pool at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter will also be closed for refurbishment until April 2024.
Guests staying at the French Quarter resort can use the Ol’ Man Island pool at Port Orleans — Riverside while the French Quarter pool is closed. The Mardi Grogs pool bar will be closed during this time as well.

Most of Doubloon Lagoon reopened this past Saturday March 30th. We were there. There’s one corner of the pool complex still blocked off as is the kiddie area. But the pool officially reopened with Mickey visiting Saturday morning.
