INTRODUCTION
Disney Junior -Live on Stage! is a new show
that replaced "Playhouse
Disney – Live on Stage!" at Disney's
Hollywood Studios on March 4, 2011. It has been updated
again as of February 2013 with the addition
of two new characters: Doc McStuffins and Sofia
the First. The show brings the stars of the Disney Channel's
Disney Junior television shows, geared to preschoolers,
together to entertain Walt Disney World guests with
music, songs and stories of friendship. This attraction
is housed in Soundstage 5 in the Animation Courtyard.
ATTRACTION
Disney Junior -Live on Stage! -- Stars of the Disney Channel's popular "Disney Junior" (formerly known as Playhouse Disney) programming
block, geared to preschool audiences, take the stage in this fun-filled
show, with sing-alongs and dance activities.
The stage show features visits to characters of each of the shows, hosted by a live cast member, Casey. The scene starts in Mickey's colorful clubhouse, and continues with the characters trying to make the best birthday party ever for Minnie Mouse. Characters highlighted in the show come from the following shows: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Never Land Pirates (also featured in video below), and the new Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First.
In addition to the fun special effects (bubbles and confetti rain down on you at various points of the show), youngsters in the audience can join the gang in singing along with catchy tunes and dancing.
TOURING TIPS
Disney Junior Live! is definitely geared to the preschool set, although young school-age children (and their grown-up escorts) will find it a pleasant show.
Guests are seated on the floor during this show, although there is a line of benches at the rear right side of the soundstage.
To be seated near the stage, arrive at the Soundstage at least 10-15 minutes
prior to showtime.
This
show is approximately 22 minutes long.
This attraction is wheelchair/ECV accessible.
Assistive Listening Devices from Guest Services Can Be Used Here.

INTERESTING FACTS
Before Disney Junior Live on Stage opened, this soundstage was home to Playhouse Disney Live! which opened October 1, 2001. (A revamped version of Playhouse Disney Live! opened in January 2008, with new characters.) That show replaced the Bear in the Big Blue House stage show, which closed August 4, 2001.
Disney Junior Live on Stage retired the characters of Handy Manny and the Little Einsteins when it revamped the show in February 2013.
