Touring Tips

Early December is the best time to visit and enjoy the Holiday Decorations.  Crowds are generally low, especially the week after Thanksgiving.  About mid-December it starts getting more crowded until the heaviest attendance Christmas week.

Ride the MK-Epcot-MK monorail at night and enjoy the beautiful holiday decorations and lights from above.

Each Country in Epcot has their own version of Santa Claus.  They appear several times a day and tell stories and pose for photographs.

We chose our fist visit to Walt Disney World during the holiday season in 2000. The wait was well worth it! After canvassing the year for one of the least crowded times we picked the week after Thanksgiving. We arrived the day after Thanksgiving and the whole place was already decorated for the holidays! That Friday and Saturday was VERY busy, but Sunday it was like we had the whole park to ourselves. Our
longest wait in any line was 20 minutes for Dumbo! It was heaven on earth for us and well worth taking our daughter out of second grade for one week!

If you have never experienced the holidays at WDW, please plan a trip there during the holidays soon! The trees, hotels and Santa around the world made a breath taking, awe inspiring trip! (Felicia Gouge, 2001)
