.) This is a tip for anyone who celebrates a special day or occasion on the same day every year at one of the Disney parks. My wife and I have celebrated every one of our 11 wedding anniversaries at Disneyland. To add to our tradition, we get a Fastpass that is marked for that day and covers the time that we were married, i.e. 4 p.m. Then we have a cast member take a picture of us in front of that attraction at the exact time that we said our "I Do's." Between the photo and the Fastpasses, it makes a nice keepsake of that specific day and time. The only drawback is we can see how we have aged over the years. Go out and CELEBRATE! - Michael Greening      1576

.) Just thought I'd drop a line after reading Mike Scopa's article on character spotting. My husband and I were in WDW in October of 2008 and we wanted to have our photo taken with Mickey Mouse to send to our 6-year-old niece in England (she was being surprised with a trip to Disneyland Paris, and we were trying to bring the excitement level up, leading to the big surprise). Anyway, whilst in the Magic Kingdom we went to Mickey's Toontown, knowing you can always meet Mickey there. The line to meet and take photos with Mickey in his house was over an hour long!! Disappointed, we left. The next day we were in Epcot and as we were walking in World Showcase, just before the American Adventure, in a side "alley" were Donald, Pluto, Minnie and yes, MICKEY MOUSE with absolutely NO LINE! We had a cast member take two photos of us, thanked her, and of course Mickey, and went back to the hotel room to immediately upload the photo to our laptop and email it to England! The moral of the story is keep your eyes open because sometimes there are characters just around the corner in an unpublicized location! - trix65      1542

.) Another use for the flashing hoops, other than hanging them around your neck -- We attracted smiles and positive comments when we attached the light-up/flashing hoops to the wheels of my husband's wheelchair. We fed them through the spokes and as he wheeled along they added a bit of fun and uniqueness. As an added bonus, when moving around the parks after dark (we used them in the Studios and Epcot) they make the chair very visible, especially in crowds. Because they can be turned off, the power cell is fairly long lasting and we have been able to reuse them on our second visit. We're taking them with us to Hong Kong Disneyland in early September, which we are very much looking forward to. - Jo Cowan      1464

.) Disney Gift Cards: If you're looking for a different design than the basic Mickey that's available at your local Disney Store (perhaps so that each child can have their own design), you can purchase gift cards on Disneyland's website. (They're found at the bottom of the ticket sales section.) They offer 10 different designs, though most are Disneyland-oriented. They can be used and reloaded at Walt Disney World and your local Disney Store, and 2-day shipping is free! The only drawback is that you are limited to buying one of three set dollar amounts as your initial purchase: $25, $50 or $100. - Rob Steere      1261

.) My son (who is now 11) and I go to a Disney park every year. We have visited Disneyland six times so far, Disneyland Paris once and we are going to WDW for the third time in September. He was only 2 on our first Disney trip. Each trip I purchase several t-shirts for the both of us. I always try and get at least one with the year printed on it. (They do a new style each year.) I have saved all of them. In 5 or 6 years I plan to have them made into a quilt. I will give him the quilt when he leaves for college. His first t-shirt is so tiny compared to the newer ones and I know they will just keep getting bigger! I hope that when he looks at it he remembers all of the Magical Memories we have shared at Disney. - Shellie Bandy      1100

.) One of my favorite things to do for a quick Disney fix, when a trip is not in the near future is play a video I bought on a previous trip. This video travels throughout the 4 theme parks showing the various attractions (the name escapes me..."Around the World"?). I think you can still purchase it from WDW directly. Also the free promotional planning tapes/DVD from Disney are loads of fun. Sometimes I'll even watch a Sing-Along tape with the kids (Campout or Beach Party at WDW or even Disneyland fun). Finally, Some days I just listen to my CD's of the theme park rides and show. It is a great way to remember the fun had on the last trip and anticipate the next trip. - Holly Bryfogle       679

.) My 3-year-old daughter and I will be going to Walt Disney World for the first time next month. To get into the Disney spirit, I've been having the "Disney princesses" send her little cards every couple of days. Disney has some great greeting cards with pictures of the princesses at their Magic Artist site: http://disney.go.com/magicartist/index_main.html. I print a blank card and write a little note from a princess saying how excited she is to hear that my daughter is coming. Sometimes I mention a specific ride that we can go on (i.e., Snow White's Scary Adventures, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, etc.) that features the princess. Then I enclose pictures. Some pictures are of when my daughter met the princess at Disneyland. Some pictures are of the specific ride that I mentioned in the card, and some are just images of the princess that I found on the internet. My daughter loves this and we've been taping the cards on our wall next to the calendar where we're marking off the days until our trip. It's been a fun way for me to get her excited about the trip. - An ALL EARS® Reader       58

.) Missed buying that souvenir before your trip ended? You can call Disney Merchandising and have any WDW park or resort item shipped to you. Call 1-407-363-6200. For Disneyland merchandise, call DelivEARS at 1-800-362-4533 to have it shipped via UPS. - Timeless Tip o' the Week brought to you by www.themouseforless.com and Mike C. and Jennifer      425

.) ALL PARKS - In regards to having bags and whatnots inspected at the parks, the best thing is to have all pockets and pouches opened. Also, if you have a dayplanner or something similar, have that unzipped, too. When we went to Disneyland recently (to see the new Haunted Mansion Holiday), my husband was asked to open his dayplanner for them to inspect. When we park-hopped over to DCA, he was ready for the inspection process and dutifully had everything unzipped and ready to be looked at. - Milady       364
