BUZZ LIGHTYEAR in the Magic Kingdom was closed last week. Many folks, including myself, thought it was being being fitted for FASTPASS but that was not the case. Seems Buzz was given a fresh coat of paint and was back in business on Saturday morning!

FLOWER AND GARDEN FESTIVAL at Epcot continues until June 11th! Flower Power concerts are performed 3 times a day at the America Gardens Theatre in Epcot's World Showcase. See WDWIG's Calendar of Events for dates of specific entertainers. http://allears.net/pl/events.htm

WDW LIMITED EDITION PINS — Seems increasing the edition size of the limited edition pins at WDW might have backfired a bit. Still on the shelves are the April and May Pins of the Month. The June Pin of the Month features Typhoon Lagoon and has an edition size of 15,000.

ROSIE AT WDW – if you sent away for tickets to see Rosie Live at WDW and wondered why you never got a response — perhaps it is because over 80,000 ticket requests were mailed in!

CANDLELIGHT PROCESSIONAL – tickets are now on sale. This is a not to be missed December Holiday Event at Epcot!

I'd love to include your comments on the Candlelight Processional. Please email Deb.

EPCOT RESORT UPDATE – Lots of new bits and bites at for the Epcot resort area…

The walkway from the Boardwalk Inn/Villas to the Disney MGM_Studios is nearing completion. Projected opening date is early July.

A new boat transportation loop is in effect for the Epcot Resorts. Instead of separate boats for Epcot and the Studios, the boats now make one huge loop. Beginning in Epcot – Boardwalk – Yacht/Beach Club – Swan/Dolphin – MGM Studios – Swan/ Dolphin – Boardwalk – Yacht/Beach Club – Epcot.

A 4th Disney Vacation Club resort has been announced as a new Epcot resort: The Beach Club Villas. The press release can be found in the News Around the World area of WDWIG: http://allears.net/acc/faq_hot.htm

WILDERNESS LODGE VILLAS – speaking of Disney Vacation Clubs – I had a look at the Wilderness Lodge villas this weekend. A number of the rooms already have furnishings inside. All rooms appear to have balconies. Rumors are there will be soft openings of the rooms prior to the official January 1, 2001 opening. Check out the Wilderness Lodge Villas FAQ. I'll be adding June 2000 construction photos soon. http://allears.net/acc/faq_hot.htm

VICE PRESIDENT OF EPCOT OPERATIONS – George Kalogridis is leaving to join the team at
the Disneyland Resort. Kalogridis will now have full responsibility for the daily management of the Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure Theme Parks.

ADDITION TO MAGIC KINGDOM BUS DEPOT – It just keeps getting bigger and bigger! The new section will be for the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

PLEASURE ISLAND – I have 2 drink coupons that expire the end of June/2000. A) Two for One Draft or SoftDrinks at Wildhorse and B) Buy One Drink get a Second One Free at Pleasure Island Jazz Co. If you are interested, email your address to: [email protected]

you didn't get the coupons.
