Just back from a sunny, but not exactly warm visit to Orlando. As always, it was a wonderful vacation and I even got to meet some online friends.

SPECIAL PREVIEW FOR ALL EARS® SUBSCRIBERS —- Anne Campbell has agreed to maintain the Special Diets sections for WDWIG. Anne, a vegetarian, has reformatted the pages which will make it easier to find the information you are looking for. She has designed 2 great reference charts; one for Vegetarian/Vegan Counter Service Eateries and one for Vegetarian/Vegan Table Service restaurants. Anne has even put these charts into AportisDoc and Plain Text formats for use on your Palm Pilot or other PDA. I was able to meet up with Anne during my trip to WDW and we had a great time sharing Disney Stories. She is excited about helping out on WDWIG and looks forward to your input for the Special Diets Pages. At this time I also want to extend a special thanks to gardenia for originating and maintaining the Special Diets pages!!! You can preview these pages by going to: http://www.wdwig.com/update/special.htm These pages will go live on WDWIG on Friday and this url will no longer be valid.

Limited Edition Pin Collectors –– there is supposed to be a Valentine's Day pin released.

Rainforest Cafe now offers a Safari Club. It is valid at all locations. The enrollment fee is $10. When you complete and turn in your application, you get a $10 award good for your next visit to the Rainforest Cafe. Within 4-6 weeks, you will receive another $10 award and your membership card. Other benefits include: Priority Seating and Guaranteed reservations for parties of 6 or less. Special birthday and anniversary offers, a newsletter and more. I didn't join, but now that I read the flyer more carefully, I just might do that. Check it out during your next visit to a Rainforest Cafe.

TARZAN and Friends –– If you plan on being at Animal Kingdom this weekend there is a special Tarzan Event. Autograph signings with Tarzan, Jane and Terk will take place in the Tree of Life Gardens. There will also be a Tarzan Yelling contest before each Tarzan Rocks Show. This special event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, February 12 and 13.

In the last ALL EARS®I reported that the Countdown to Extinction ride at Animal Kingdom had been tamed in response to guest complaints. I rode Countdown and felt that changes were very minor and subtle EXCEPT for the ending. There was no sudden burst of air, no scary dinosaur, and the small dip that was there seemed much slower. In fact, it was SO mild, I didn't think the ride was over. I don't know if this is a permanent change or the ending was just not functioning properly. I also heard several rumors that the Dinosaur Jubilee tent will soon be taken down and a Kids Ride will be built.
