Boma — Flavors of Africa
The undisputed heavyweight, Boma is an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet, and boy is it expansive!Â
There is so much food and so many options for you to choose from. The food ranges from bold African cuisine to American comfort foods.
But wait, there’s more! Boma is close to Animal Kingdom Lodge’s savanna, which means you can head outside before or after your meal to try to sneak a peek at some of the animals that live in the area. We’ve seen zebras, giraffes, okapis, and more! Seeing the animals could be a great way to keep you entertained while waiting for a table.
Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera
In Topolino’s Terrace, Parisian perfection awaits at this Riviera Resort gem, which is inspired by Europe and the Mediterranean (and by Walt and Lillian Disney’s travels!). “Topolino” is the Italian name for Mickey Mouse! The “Terrace” part refers to the rooftop location of this stunning restaurant.
During what’s officially known as Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends, you’ll meet Topolino himself wearing his painting garb! Also, each of the characters wears special costumes that are completely unique to Topolino’s and reflect their art!

Now, Topolino’s Terrace is NOT an all-you-care-to-eat experience. And the variety of options is not large in the way buffet choices are. But in addition to being beautifully presented, dishes here are also well-executed and, of course, prepared to order.
Whispering Canyon Café
Yeehaw your way into a hearty breakfast feast at Whispering Canyon Cafe.
Breakfast here offers up some All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Signature Skillets, main entrées, sides, and more.
Those biscuits are so good! (House-made buttermilk-cheddar biscuits)
Garden Grill
Enjoy a rotating feast at Garden Grill, where fresh flavors and character interactions abound. It’s located upstairs in The Land Pavilion at EPCOT, right next to the Awesome Planet show.
You will have the chance to meet some of your favorites as you eat — Chip and Dale and they’re joined by Farmer Mickey and Pluto.
This breakfast is also an all-you-care-to-enjoy affair, complete with traditional breakfast foods like Mickey waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs, and even tater tots!
It’s the perfect spot to start your day with wholesome goodness and Disney charm.
Olivia’s Cafe
Craving brunch, even before noon? Set sail for Olivia’s Cafe and grab some brunch during your resort day.
They serve so many different options– from the classics like waffles and biscuits to Olivia’s specialties like banana bread pudding, the menu does not disappoint. This restaurant truly showcases their homestyle cooking that is inspired by the Florida Keys.
With its cozy atmosphere and scrumptious offerings, it’s a hidden gem for breakfast lovers.
Grand Floridian Cafe
Most times, the conversation is surrounding the signature dining experience at Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, but most miss the Grand Floridian Cafe.

Ale & Compass Restaurant
Ale & Compass is a Yacht Club gem that offers a unique twist: combine a continental-style breakfast buffet with a made-to-order entree.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Next, we have Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.
This character meal more recently reopened in November of 2022, and it’s where you can meet multiple Disney Princesses!
During this character meal, you can enjoy lots of amazing food, while also meeting Snow White, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, and Tiana. It’s a great value in terms of food and meet-and-greets — we don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
Also, if you’re using the DDP, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall offers a Princess Character Meal for one credit, while Cinderella’s Royal Table requires two.
Chef’s Art Smith’s Homecomin’
Homecomin’ in Disney Springs is a restaurant that we just keep coming back to time and time again — and chances are, you’ll want to do the same.
Brunch is absolutely incredible at this spot as well, so if you can snag a reservation during that time we highly recommend it!
Quick Service Delights
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe
Embrace your inner Viking with a hearty pastry and a cup of Viking coffee. This EPCOT bakery is a breakfast must-do for pastry lovers.
Le Petit Cafe or Kona Island
Coffee connoisseurs, rejoice! These quick-service spots offer delicious coffee and breakfast treats for a grab-and-go morning fuel-up.
Kusafiri
Calling all adventurous eaters! This unconventional twist on classic nachos features tater tots instead of chips, topped with breakfast goodness like are made of Potato Barrels, Scrambled Eggs, Nacho Cheese Sauce, Cheese Curds, and Crumbled Bacon. Available at select locations like Kusafiri in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Sleepy Hollow Refreshments
Indulge your sweet tooth with a Nutella and Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich. It’s a delicious treat that’s perfect for enjoying on the go.

I don’t understand the hype around Boma. We were there a couple of times because we like AKL. This week we went again, and the whole place smells of smoke so badly, we were choking when we were taking food. Wood smoke is actually very unhealthy, and there was no proper ventilation. I felt bad for the people who work there. Then our hair and clothes smelled of smoke well after we left. The food was mediocre. The butternut squash was always the most memorable dish of the meal, but now it was way too cinnamon-y. Neither of the desserts were more than okay. The brownie finger thing was so dry. The drinks too sweet. I like being able to choose from an expansive menu but Boma just does not live up to the hype.
The Boere Breakfast in AK Resort Sanaa Restaurant is on point!!
What about O’Hana???? I can never miss it.

I’m surprised that the Kona Cafe (in the Polynesian) did not make the sit down list of best breakfasts. I see so many people raving about Tongo toast (and possibly Macadamia Nut Pancakes) that Kona Cafe was not on the list.
On the other hand, I’m not surprised that Chef Mickey’s (in the Contemporary) did not make the list.
I do agree that Boma belongs on the list. On our upcoming trip, we will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and plan to eat at Boma both for breakfast and supper.
