NEWS: Genie+ And Individual Lightning Lanes Are SOLD OUT in Disney World. Now What?

Welcome to Spring Break in Disney World.

The crowds are HERE, and we’ve been seeing them all week (as expected). Ride wait times are also really high, but we’re sure you’ve planned to get Genie+ to bypass those lines for Lightning Lanes, right? Well, if you haven’t, it might be too late to do that.

Genie+ for multiple parks has completely sold out for the day. The multiple park option was $39, but that hasn’t stopped folks from grabbing it early in the day.

That means if you had planned on visiting more than one park and want to use Genie+, you’ll have to buy it for each park (which is still available, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it sell out, too). You can still grab Genie+ for Magic Kingdom for $39 per person, EPCOT for $32 per person, Hollywood Studios for $35 per person, and Animal Kingdom for $29 per person.

For those rides that offer Individual Lightning Lane, those are also completely sold out. Two of those rides will have virtual queues opening up at 1PM: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle / Run, but you’ll have to be quick to grab a spot in the virtual queue.

If you didn’t manage to get Genie+ for the day (and if it sells out for each individual park), your best bet is to focus on those less popular rides that tend to have lower wait times and then keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app to watch for wait times to go down (if they go down) for the more popular rides. The good news is there are plenty of OTHER things to do in each park, including shows, parades, cavalcades, and more.

Of course, that doesn’t help you navigate the crowds at the park, but the most important thing you can do is bring your patience and flexibility. Another thing we recommend: if you’re planning on using Mobile Order for lunch or dinner, be sure to get that order in as early as possible — you can order early and then set the time to pick it up. For those few restaurants that don’t have mobile order, you might want to consider eating at times that don’t coincide with lunch or dinner.

You’ll also want to make sure you allow for plenty of time for things like transportation because everything will be crowded. If you have a reservation somewhere and need to travel to get to it, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get there.
