EPCOT has been the home to quite a few new additions over the past few years, but now some special, limited-time offerings have arrived that you do NOT want to miss!
The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is running in 2024 from February 28th through May 27th. There are food booths with TONS of new eats and drinks to try, special merchandise to shop, scavenger hunts to participate in, bands to listen to with the Garden Rocks Concert Series, and MORE. Right now, let’s talk about 2 very special things you will NOT want to miss.
While you’re walking through EPCOT, don’t forget to take time to check out the special PhotoPass opportunities! Just look for a Disney World Cast Member with a camera.
During the Festival, special Magic Shots typically become available. Magic Shots are photos where you’ll strike a certain pose and some extra magical effects will be added after the photo is taken, like with the Orange Bird photo below (sadly, Orange Bird can’t join your photo in person).
Be on the lookout for PhotoPass Cast Members throughout EPCOT and ask to see if they have a special Magic Shot available for the Flower & Garden Festival. Take advantage of them while you can, as they won’t stick around forever.
So… which PhotoPass opportunities will be at the Flower and Garden Festival this year? Well, first, you’ll be able to snap your photo with Spike the Bee near the Odyssey!
Next up, you can pose with Orange Bird in World Celebration Gardens.
If you’re a big fan of Orange Bird, you can pose with him again with the flowers in the background.
At night, you’ll be able to pose in front of Spaceship Earth with a snazzy-looking Groot.
You can also pose with Isabella!
Of course, you can’t miss the opportunity to cheese with Dopey.
Make a wish with dandelion fluff!
Lastly, you can pose with a sky full of butterflies.
And don’t forget to snap photos with all the beautiful topiaries and gardens throughout EPCOT — no extra magic needed!
“Is PhotoPass free?” you might be wondering. Good question! Cast Members can take your photo for free and you can view it in the My Disney Experience app for free (with watermarks). But if you want to download your photos, you’ll want to look at purchasing Memory Maker.
With Memory Maker, you’ll get unlimited downloads of your own Disney PhotoPass photos and videos (along with those of up to 25 members of your Family & Friends list who share media with you). You can buy Memory Maker for just one day of your choosing, or get the full Memory Maker option which includes all of the photos and videos from your vacation.
Memory Maker is $185 when purchased in advance of your trip (be sure to buy it at least 3 days in advance), $210 when purchased during or after your vacation, and $75 if you just buy the one-day option. You can also add PhotoPass downloads to your Disney World Annual Pass for $99 for the year (plus tax).
