Have you ever dreamt of proposing (or receiving a proposal) at Walt Disney World? We’ve all seen the traditional — and very sweet — proposal in front of Cinderella Castle, often with a PhotoPass cast member capturing the moments. But what if you want something more unique?
Well, you’ve come to the right place because we’re talking about top-notch on-ride Disney proposal ideas that’ll have you saying yes!
Haunted Mansion
Are you or your significant other a lover of all things Haunted Mansion? Then, why not propose there from the comfort of the spooky manse? One of our writer’s husbands proposed in the Haunted Mansion stretching room. If you don’t know what the stretching rooms are, this is the preshow before guests board their Haunted Mansion ride vehicles. During part of the show the lights dim. After the lights came back on, our writer’s husband was down on one knee ready to pop the question! Super sweet, right?!
Another memorable way to propose would be in front of the mirrors at the end! Then, you can see your partner’s reaction AND the hitchhiking ghosts can join in on the fun (plus you’ll get your on-ride photo to capture the memory!)!

The Eiffel Tower
If you have always wanted to propose in front of the Eiffel Tower but can’t make it there, Disney has a couple alternative options.
For starters, you can propose during the Eiffel Tower scene on Soarin’ in Epcot! Soarin’ allows guests to fly over different parts of the world, so take your significant other to France for a few virtual seconds and pop the question!
Or, while this one’s not on a ride, you could head to the bridge that connects the France and UK pavilions in Epcot. There, you’ll find a pretty view of Disney’s Eiffel Tower AND there’s usually a photopass Cast Member there that can help you out when it comes to engagement pics!
Propose With A Sign
While you’ve probably seen plenty of people propose on attractions like Splash Mountain with a sign, we thought of a few more that it would be fun to use that sign idea on.
Tower of Terror and Dinosaur play off of a bit of fear and the on-ride photos usually show those emotions off. Wouldn’t it be funny to propose on either of those attractions? I mean, just think of their over-the-top reactions!
Of course, they likely won’t see that you proposed until they see the photos, so the pictures will be pretty priceless!!
For the Non-Thrill Seekers
If you’re looking for something that’s a little more laid back, it would be beautiful to propose on the Liberty Square Riverboat at sunset.
You could also propose on the carousel during the fireworks or during the Kiss the Girl scene on Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid attraction!
There are SO many ways to propose at a place like Disney World. If it’s not on a ride, there are STUNNING places off the rides as well! We hope that this helped you think of a few fun options!

This past August, my soon to be husband proposed at Caribbean Beach resort. He got pins from the front desk and wrote his proposal on there.
