Here is a sneak preview of the new FASTPASS FAQ which will debut on WDWIG this Friday! I highly recommend utilizing FASTPASS at Walt Disney World. If you have any FASTPASS questions not addressed in this FAQ, email me so it can get added here and help everyone!

What is FASTPASS??

FASTPASS is Disney's new innovative system to help reduce long waits at popular attractions. It was introduced in 1999 and has been very successful.

Can Anyone Take Advantage of FASTPASS?

Absolutely! Any park guest can use FASTPASS. You do NOT have to have any special tickets or be staying at a Disney resort hotel. FASTPASS is available to EVERYONE.

How Much Does FASTPASS Cost?

FASTPASS is included in your admission to the park. There is NO extra charge to use the system.

How does it Work?

When you approach a FASTPASS Attraction you will see 2 clocks. The first one will tell you how long the normal wait time is, if you got in line right then. The other clock tells you what time you should return if you got a FASTPASS ticket now.

Go to the FASTPASS ticket machine and insert your admissions ticket. EACH PERSON NEEDS A FASTPASS TICKET! Out comes your FASTPASS indicating what time frame you may return to the attraction. You are given a one hour time frame and may return during that period.

Once your FASTPASS time has arrived, return to the attraction and get in the line for FASTPASS Holders! Be sure to have your ticket out and ready to show the cast member. Further in the waiting area, a Cast Member will actually take your FASTPASS ticket.

What happens if the ride breaks down or goes offline?

If this happens, the system should stop issuing tickets. You will have the opportunity to use the FASTPASS you acquired anytime during the rest of that day, once the attraction is operating normally again.

Can I request a Specific Time to Return?

No, you can not request a specific return time. The times are all computerized and you will only be allowed to enter the FASTPASS line during the time stated on your FASTPASS ticket.

If the FASTPASS says 1:00 – 2:00 can it be used after 2:00 or does it expire?

It expires, unless the attraction has gone down for an extended period of time, in which case you will be allowed to use it for the rest of the day, once the attraction is working again.

If the FASTPASS says 1:00 – 2:00 can I get a second FASTPASS at 2:01?

Yes.

Can I have Multiple FASTPASS Tickets at one time?

No, you can only have one FASTPASS attraction ticket at a time. In other words, you can not get a FASTPASS ticket for The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh AND Splash Mountain at the same time. You may get one attraction FASTPASS, once the time frame has expired, you may get another FASTPASS at the attraction of your choice.

Are there FASTPASS machines at other locations in the parks?

No, the FASTPASS machines for each attraction are only located at that attraction.

What Attractions are FASTPASS Attractions?

ANIMAL KINGDOM Countdown to Extinction – DinoLand Kali River Rapids – Asia Kilimanjaro Safaris – Africa MAGIC KINGDOM Space Mountain – Tomorrowland Splash Mountain – Frontierland The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Fantasyland Jungle Cruise – Adventureland MGM-STUDIOS Rock N Roller Coaster Star Tours Tower of Terror Voyage of The Little Mermaid EPCOT Honey, I Shrunk the Audience Test Track

How will I know for sure what attractions are FASTPASS attractions?

The Park Guide Maps will indicate which attractions are FASTPASS attractions. You can also ask any Cast Member or inquire at Guest Services in your Disney resort hotel.

Do I have to wait at all if I have a FASTPASS?

Yes, FASTPASS ticket holders may have to wait in line for the attraction. The key is, you won't have to wait AS LONG as if you stood in the regular line. During Peak Periods, like Easter and Christmas week, FASTPASS will probably not save you much time, the parks will be VERY crowded so do NOT expect FASTPASS to save you hours of waiting! During less crowded times at the parks, you wait will probably be minimal, if at all.

Are FASTPASSes issued during the entire time the park is open?

No, FASTPASS tickets are not issued all day long. Often the FASTPASS ticket machines may be shut down a couple hours before closing time.
