Disney Announces NEW Ride Virtual Queue for Magic Kingdom

Are you ready?! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is opening SOON in Magic Kingdom!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

The ride will pick up right where The Princess and the Frog left off when it comes to Tiana’s story. We’ve been keeping an eye on all the progress Disney has made so far, but now we officially have the details for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Virtual Queue!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will NOT feature a standby line when it opens — instead, there will be a Virtual Queue. You’ll also be able to ride this attraction using regular Genie+.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Let’s go over the virtual queue basics:

  1. You’ll need to use the My Disney Experience app to try to join the virtual queue at 7AM or 1PM
  2. A standby queue will NOT be available when it first opens
  3. You can only hold ONE Virtual Queue per day during regular park hours
  4. Boarding groups are limited, are not guaranteed, and are subject to availability
  5. NOT all boarding groups may be called to return depending on availability

You can join the virtual queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at 7AM or 1PM. But, Disney also shared, “While a standby queue will not be available during the attraction’s initial opening days, we expect to open a standby queue soon after the attraction’s opening,” so we may not see the virtual queue around for long.

You’ll want to make sure you download the My Disney Experience app before the day you want to join the queue so you can join it quickly when the time comes.

  1. Alright, I rescind what I said in an earlier post that putting TBA as a G+ attraction would make it easier for Disney IT. I think this is the first attraction that was in the G+ lineup AND virtual queue. All prior new rides were virtual queue and ILL. This seems like a disaster on opening day waiting to happen.
