5 POPULAR Snacks That Are NOT Included in the Disney World Dining Plan

There are TONS of snacks to try in Disney World. But you’ll need to pay for some of them out of pocket, even if you have the Disney Dining Plan!

Gideon’s Bakehouse

Earlier this year, the Disney Dining Plan officially returned to Disney World. The Dining Plan essentially allows guests to “pre-pay” for the food during their trip, including a set amount of meals and snacks per day, depending on which plan you buy. Dining Plan snack credits can be used on tons of popular snacks, from classics like Dole Whip to unique treats like School Bread. But beware, some super-popular menu items DON’T count as a snack credit!

Here are a few of our favorite snacks around Disney World that you can’t get by using a Dining Plan snack credit…so budget accordingly!

Spring Rolls

Tucked off to the side of Adventureland in Magic Kingdom sits a simple, unassuming little spring roll cart. It might not look like much, but this small but mighty snack location has built up a HUGE fan base thanks to its rotating menu of savory spring rolls stuffed with all kinds of interesting flavors!

One of our favorite flavors that the cart sometimes features is the is the Cheeseburger Spring Roll, which is a fun take on a classic cheeseburger taste.

The flavors at the cart rotate, and we’ve seen options like Ham and Cheese Spring Rolls, Pepperoni and Cheese Spring Rolls, and more make their way through.

But if you want to snag some spring rolls on your next trip to Magic Kingdom, you’ll have to pay for them separately, because sadly these beauties are NOT snack credit-eligible!

Na’vi-Sized Pretzel

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Pongu Pongu in Pandora is home to one of our favorite snacks that’s perfect for when you need something big enough to hold you over until your next meal.

Meet the Na’vi-Sized Pretzel, a huge soft pretzel served with beer cheese sauce for dipping.

But if you were hoping to get some serious bang for your buck by snagging this sharable pretzel with a snack credit, no such luck — it’s sadly not eligible!

Gideon’s Cookies

If you’re looking for dessert in Disney Springs, Gideon’s Bakehouse is definitely worth a visit! They’re known for their massive — and delicious — cookies and cake slices.

Gideon’s Bakehouse

Gideon’s wasn’t open in Disney Springs the last time the Disney Dining Plan was offered, so we were curious to see if they would be included when it returned this year. But much to our disappointment, it turns out that Gideon’s doesn’t accept the Disney Dining Plan.

All the Gideon’s cookies!

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, Gideon’s is still worth a visit, you’ll just need to budget for your stack of cookies accordingly since you can’t use a snack credit on them!

Ronto Wrap

Back to another savory snack, this time we’re heading to Ronto Roasters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Ronto Roasters

This quick service spot is home to one of our go-to hearty snacks. The Ronto Wrap is roasted pork and grilled pork sausage with peppercorn sauce and tangy slaw wrapped in pita.

Ronto Wrap

We’re extra bummed that this one isn’t snack credit-eligible since it could even double as a light meal if you don’t want to feel too full while making your way around the park!

Croque Glace

Rounding out our list, we’ve got one of our favorite ways to cool down on a hot day in EPCOT. Join us on a trip to L’Artisan des Glaces in the France Pavilion!

It draws a crowd!

Here, you’ll find several incredible ice cream treats, a few of which you actually CAN use a snack credit to buy. But unfortunately, our favorite on the list, the Croque Glace is NOT snack credit-eligible.

Croque Glace

The Croque Glace is your choice of one ice cream or sorbet flavor in a warm brioche, with your choice of sauce, that’s then warmed and sealed. Now you see why we’re so bummed this isn’t included in the Dining Plan!

  1. I used to snack credit today on the gray stuff cupcake and it worked no problem!

I’ve been using your tips all around the parks on our trip and they’ve been super helpful! I was prepared to pay out-of-pocket for the cupcake but was super thrilled to see that it was included.
