There is one Disney World souvenir that’s been around for AGES. In fact, there’s a good bet you have one or two sitting in your kitchen cabinet right this moment. We’re talking about Disney World’s refillable mugs, officially known as Rapid-Fill Refillable Mugs.
The concept is simple. If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you can buy a mug for $21.99 and use it throughout your stay. You can fill up on soda, juice, or water with unlimited refills. For those who take full advantage of the refillability of these mugs, you can get a pretty good bang for your buck. But did you know that there’s a secret HACK when it comes to your refillable mug?
When you buy your refillable mug at your Disney resort, you might not think to take it anywhere outside your hotel. But if you want to take full advantage of those unlimited refills, stop limiting yourself to one place!
Here’s a perfect example. Recently, we were staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. We purchased a refillable mug at our hotel food court and then took our mug with us during our visit to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Guess what? We refilled our mug at the Grand Floridian Hotel! You can refill your mug at any Disney World resort — even if you aren’t staying there.

There’s a refillable station in AK back behind where Dino land is located. They have a station with machines, there’s actually one in Epcot as well. Also you can bring back mugs and refill with iced tea, hot tea, coffee or hot chocolate because you don’t need a chip for those beverages.
I didn’t think you could use the refillable mugs in the parks, only the hotels?
Hi Jon! You can’t refill them in the parks for free, but you can get a cup of ice water to put in it or if you want to transfer your soda into it to keep it cool a little longer (or have something with a lid since Disney Parks are limiting the amount of lids they give out unless you ask for one) and they’re easy to clip onto your bag or stroller with a carabiner. Then, if you do leave the park (say you want to leave Magic Kingdom and hop over to the Contemporary for a break/dinner,etc.) you can refill it over there.
