It took over an hour for us to be seated after our reservation time with no explanation or apology. Servers were rushed and inattentive. Characters where ok but no Mary Poppins who we had been looking forward to. (this is froma prev trip in 2018)
Pros:
not muchCons:
running late, not great service, no mary poppinsReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 01/03/2020

Just ate here on Dec 23 2019. The food was delicious and the service was great. The characters were patient and gave great interaction. Tigger was so sweet in his interaction, that I still get teary eyed thinking about it. Worth every penny spent.
Pros:
Quality and delicious food selection. Characters, cleanliness and presentation in the restaurant. The staff was pleasant and happy to see us. We were perfectly on time and there was no wait.Cons:
It had to end.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 10/11/2019

Breakfast was $44 for adults, $26 for kids.

This had always been one of our favorites. I don't know if it was something "special" Disney was doing around the holidays or if this is just the new normal...but 1900 Park Fare breakfast was not the same.
For starters...we noticed the lobster benedict and the bagel spread with the dill cream cheese and lox cream cheese were missing. We had an 8am ADR...so I wouldn't expect anything to be just gone at this point. It also bothered me because these were some of the pricier options on the old buffet and it's one of several meals we've noticed Disney removing the better items. It really bothers me to no end when they continue to raise prices yet give you lesser food.
The biggest food issue though was some very familiar items. We had dinner at 1900 PF at the beginning of our trip. We noticed several items from the dinner buffet were also on the breakfast buffet. A few of the items (like the farro and feta salad) were things I really liked at dinner, so I figured I'd give it it a try. The taste and texture reminded me of a feta rice dish I make and how it tastes and feels after it's been sitting in the fridge drying out overnight. Yeah...I'm pretty sure Disney slapped the word "brunch" on our 8am meal and recycled food leftover from dinner. The ADR name changed from breakfast to brunch at the last minute, but changing the name for an 8am meal still doesn't excuse this. Disgustingly shameful!
On top of this...the characters were back to back and rushing through every single meeting. They were all taking an average of 30-45 seconds per table. We watched them all in a line, moving like a machine. It was never like this before.
Things were paced so quickly with the characters that many people were paid and leaving at the 30 minute mark. We were done at 40 minutes...and that was a struggle. We were trying to work in a little extra food because we were about to drive home.
This also marks pretty much the only time we've talked to a Disney chef about food allergies and they didn't really have a good grasp on things. Not the most comforting feeling when you're just asking for clarification.
All in all, it makes me sad with what they've done to what used to be a great character meal. We won't be going back.
