Don’t you just hate it when you go to a Disney shop and it’s closed?
Refurbishments are nothing new at the Disneyland Resort, but that doesn’t make it any better when a shop or ride has to close down for a while. Such is the case with Disneyland’s latest closure.
Right now at Downtown Disney, the interior of Marceline’s Confectionery is closed for refurbishment.
Disney announced the refurbishment in April, stating, “We’re designing an all-new, expanded and completely reimagined confection experience featuring your favorite treats and fun new tasty offerings!”
Marceline’s — named after Walt Disney’s hometown — is home to sweets such as Minnie Mouse caramel apples, chocolate-covered pretzels, candies, and cookies.
There is currently no time frame as to when the interior will reopen.
All is not lost, however. Per Disney, “a cart is now available for Guests with an assortment of menu items from this shop.” A Cast Member we spoke to said they will be selling a limited selection of treats that will vary from day to day!
While it’s not optimal, we’re happy to know you can still grab treats from this “sweet” confectionery while it transforms!
