Disney Adults Have Spoken: There are ZERO Reasons to Wait for this Disney World Ride Ever Again

There are over 50 attractions in Disney World, and while some people love them all, others never wish to experience them again.

Magic Kingdom

Personally, I’m a HUGE fan of all Disney World rides. Thankfully I’m not scared of heights, and I don’t struggle with motion sickness, but that doesn’t mean I won’t bypass a ride if the line looks astronomical. We asked our readers on Facebook what Disney World rides they would NEVER wait for again, and I think you’ll relate to a lot of these answers!

Peter Pan’s Flight

One of the most common answers we got was an opening day attraction: Peter Pan’s Flight.

Peter Pan’s Flight

While this ride is nostalgic and fun for many, it’s nothing special, according to a lot of our readers. Not to mention, it’s very short, so waiting in an 80+ minute line for a less than 3 minute attraction (that’s pretty jerky, let’s be honest) is not ideal.

Peter Pan’s Flight

Instead, a lot of our responders shared they prefer to book a Lightning Lane for this attraction to avoid the line. This does mean you’ll need to purchase Genie+ for the day, but in Magic Kingdom, we think it’s worth the purchase!

If you haven’t used Genie+ before, Emma and Fry Bucket have all the info you need in their video you can watch right here:

Space Mountain

Now this one may be a bit controversial, but I get it! Space Mountain is another classic attraction, but over the years, it’s gotten ROUGH.

Space Mountain

Not to mention that being in the pitch black isn’t everyone’s thing. You constantly feel like you’re going to hit your head (you’re not) and the jerks around each corner are no joke.

Space Mountain Track

Many of our readers said that they used to love the ride, but as they’ve gotten older, they can’t justify the way it literally HURTS to ride. And if you get hurt, then you’re in pain the rest of your trip, and that’s no fun for anyone.

Na’vi River Journey

Now this one hurts my heart because I love this ride, but I understand not wanting to wait more than 15 minutes for Na’vi River Journey.

Na’vi River Journey

The problem is that this ride RARELY has under a 30 minute wait due to its low capacity and decently long experience time. Many readers shared that it was a one-and-done for them.

Na’vi River Journey

It’s a beautiful ride, almost like Kilimanjaro Safaris for the floral and fauna found in Pandora, but compared to Flight of Passage, it’s the furthest thing from thrilling. It is beautiful and peaceful though, so if you’ve already bought Genie+ for the day, might as well grab one to experience it as a walk-on!

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

You’ll either be surprised to this on here, or not surprised at all because you ARE someone who would add it to this list. Despite frustration at the short length of this ride, it continues to be one of the highest waits in Magic Kingdom.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Many fans agree that this ride is SUPER fun, but waiting in a 90+-minute line for it? Yeah, not THAT much fun. Plus, you can only skip this line with an Individual Lightning Lane, which is an additional cost ON TOP of Genie+ (or you can just buy the Individual Lightning Lane), and many readers aren’t a fan of that either.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Again, many of the responses on our post shared that this one is also a one-and-done ride, and I totally understand!

Mission: SPACE

Now this ride is on here for a totally different reason that can be summed up in 2 words: motion sickness.

Mission Space

Mission: SPACE is an intense ride that mimics the journey to Mars (Orange Mission, more intense) or the moon (Green Mission, less intense with no G force), and it is NOT everyone’s cup of tea.

Orange Entrance

While I personally don’t struggle too bad on this ride, it does heighten my anxiety and make me a little worried that someone in my car WILL get sick, and it feels claustrophobic even to those of us who DON’T struggle with claustrophobia (if you do, do not get on this ride).

Green Entrance

And on that note, if you know you’re prone to motion sickness, PLEASE read the warning plaques in front of each ride and think long and hard about if you’re willing to risk feeling terrible for the rest of the day just to go on one ride. 1. I would like to see Disney shut down Mission Mars and bring back Horizons, but in newer updated form.

  2. All rides I wouldn’t wait long to ride, either! I’d add a few more all for the basic same reason: You can find similar rides in nearly every regional park in the country:

    Tomorrowland Speedway
    Mad Tea Party
    Dumbo/Triceratops Spin/Magic Carpets
    Prince Regal Carousel
    Alien Swirling Saucers
