Introduction While San Francisco and Amity are two unique areas, and located on opposite sides of USA, here at The Studios, they are blended together in one large themed section, located between New York and World Expo. Both San Francisco and Amity are situated on the Universal Lagoon. Great spot to take a break and enjoy the beautiful water view or try your hand at the games of chance on the Amity Midway. San Francisco/Amity has the largest selection of dining options including Lombard's Seafood Grille. But be warned: Don't get your heart set on a Ghirardelli Ice Cream Sundae or spend any time looking for the door as the Ghirardelli Building is just part of the San Francisco theme.
Earthquake -The Big One - See the secrets of Hollywood special effects. And finally it's time for the payoff, experience an 8.3 on the Richter scale earthquake while riding on the Bay Area Rapid Transit. You will find yourself in the middle of an earth-shattering scene from the movie "Earthquake," with exploding gasoline tankers, ceilings collapsing and subway cars crashing. This ride is based on the 1974 classic movie, Earthquake. There is also a guest appearance by Charlton Heston. Universal Express Attraction. Jaws - The Great White Terror of Jaws is back. You will barely round the first corner of the waterway and you will know you are in for a bumpy and scary ride.
