Introduction

The enormous Jurassic Park gates and the familiar music from the movie greet you as you enter the largest of the IOA islands. This exotic tropical island with its electrified paddock fences, shaking bushes and sounds of dinosaurs may have you wondering what you have gotten yourself into... Don't worry -- most of the dinos are friendly.

Attractions and Entertainment

Dinosaur at Jurassic ParkJurassic Park River Adventure -- You will see dinosaurs in their natural habitats in this showcase attraction. What starts out as a smooth and informative tour soon takes a wrong turn, and that is when the excitement begins. Watch out for a hungry T-Rex on the loose and a big splash at the end. Did we mention an 85-foot drop in between? Universal Express attraction.

Camp Jurassic -- Explore amber mines, climb dinosaur nets and more in this interactive jungle play area. Adults can join the fun, too.

Jurassic Park Discovery Center -- Scan fossilized skeletons, examine dinosaur eggs, view velociraptors hatching, play mind-boggling games like "You Bet Your Jurassic" and more in this hands-on educational interactive center. You'll feel like you are on the movie set; even John Hammond has been occasionally spotted in the Center. Hours vary.

Pteranodon Flyers - Located inside Camp Jurassic. An odd ride that usually has long wait times. Soar though the air and get a bird's-eye view of the entire park while swinging from side to side.

NOTE: This attraction is designed for children 36 to 56 inches tall. If you're over 56 inches tall you must be accompanied by a child meeting this requirement. The ride is approximately 65 feet in the air and may frighten some children.

Places to Eat

The Burger Digs -- Located on the second floor of Discovery Center. Great burgers and chicken sandwiches.

Electrified Fence at Jurassic ParkThunder Falls Terrace -- Rotisserie chicken, ribs, soups and salads. All entrees are served with roasted corn on the cob and a choice of sides. Beer and wine available.

Pizza Predattoria -- Pizza, Italian sausage and meatball sandwiches. Caesar salads are also served.

The Watering Hole -- Walk- up window. Liquor, beer, wine and tropical drinks. Munchies available.
