Each year during Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida, special New Orleans food and treats are available. The walk up stands are decked out in the famous colors of Mardi Gras and set up around the BoneYard and in the French Quarter Courtyard which transforms Park Avenue and 7th Way in New York into Universal's version of The Big Easy.

Voodoo Bars are located throughout the party which feature the famous "Voodoo Juice" in a special souvenir glass (really plastic but safety first) that lights up. Your first Voodoo Juice is $9 and refills $6.

A Little New Orleans History: Hurricanes were created as way to use the over abundance of rum that Pat O'Brien's was required purchase during World War II.  50 cases of rums had to purchased from the liquor houses in order to purchase just one case of whiskey which was in very short supply because of the war.  The name came soon after when a glass shaped like a hurricane lamp was used to serve the fruity rum cocktail.
