ALL EARS® Team Member Linda Mac had the chance to check
out the new "Pirates Tutorial" being held daily in front
of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction this summer. She files
this report, with photos:
The show starts with Mac pulling the cart out to the street to the
left of Pirates of the Caribbean. He puts down a rope and talks
to the audience about pirating and Captain Jack. He was a riot and
perfect for the part. The picture of Jack standing in the background
was taken when Mac (the silly one) talks about his boss without
anyone knowing Jack was there, including Mac.
After a some interaction between Jack and Mac, they bring up four
young kids up to learn to sword fight, then bring a few more up
to pretend to use buckets to get water out of a ship. Finally they
bring a few more kids up to the group to pledge to be a pirate and
the kids get a parchment scroll for passing Jack Sparrow's Pirates
Tutorial. Great, funny street show with lots of improv because of
the kids. Mac even poses for photos after the show.
It was listed on the attraction sign near Casey's on Main Street,
but not in the printed Times Guide. The show lasted about 15-20
minutes.
