New Year's Eve 12/31/10
Special New Year's Eve Dining: Many Walt Disney World restaurants will feature special menus during the holidays, and for New Year's Eve in particular. Here are several special New Year's Eve dining experiences that we have details on. (Call 1-407-WDW-DINE for details or to make reservations, unless otherwise noted.)
-- The California Grill at the Contemporary Resort will host an elegant and festive event with a variety of food, beverages, and fireworks. Entertainment scheduled: casino-style games, characters, and live entertainment throughout the evening. This is a dine-around style event with food stations set up throughout the restaurant. A complimentary bar is available, in addition to wine poured by the glass up until midnight. This a semi-formal occasion -- dress accordingly. Cost: $525 per person, tax and gratuity included.
-- Epcot's World Showplace will host "Fantasia 2011," inspired by memorable scenes from Disney’s classic animated feature films Fantasia and Fantasia 2000. You will dine in a "delightfully designed restaurant that offers a fun-filled dining experience for your whole family." Cost: Adult, $68.67; Child, $44.37 (includes tax and gratuity).
-- La Hacienda de San Angel, the new restaurant in Epcot's Mexico pavilion, will offer two seatings on New Year's Eve. The first seating will be "a la carte" dining only. Reservations for La Hacienda de San Angel's six-course, fixed price second seating must be made by calling 407-842-1107 Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. Reservations will NOT be made through WDW-DINE.
-- New Year's Eve at Atlantic Dance Hall (BoardWalk Resort), 8 p.m. - 2 a.m. VIP Admission (very limited availability) includes: Access to the main floor of the dance hall AND private access to the VIP area on the second floor, which will include seating, Video DJ playing on Main Dance Floor, party favors, complimentary champagne toast at midnight, complimentary miniature desserts and coffee (offered in the VIP area from 9 p.m. to midnight), private access to the upstairs balcony for limited viewing of Epcot's fireworks, beverages available for purchase from either the private VIP bar upstairs or the VIP cocktail service offered upstairs. VIP tickets cost $79.88 per person (includes tax but not gratuity). Regular Admission includes: Access to the main floor of the Dance Hall, Video DJ, party favors, complimentary champagne toast at midnight, beverages available for purchase from three downstairs bars. Regular admission tickets cost $49.20 per person (includes tax but not gratuity). Tickets will also be sold at Atlantic Dance Hall December 29-30 from 6:30 p.m. to midnight; December 31 from 4 p.m. through the event start (or until sold out).
