Disneyland Forever

INTRODUCTION

Disneyland Forever premiered at Disneyland on May 22, 2015, as part of Disneyland's 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration. In addition to spectacular pyrotechnics, the show also uses visual projections on a variety of surfaces to enhance the show experience.

Unlike previous projection shows, guests can see the projections in different areas throughout the park. By design they will experience the entire show slightly differently depending on where in the park they view it:

The show includes images and music from Disney and Disney-Pixar features such as "Mary Poppins", "Winnie the Pooh", "The Lion King", "The Little Mermaid", "Tangled", "Finding Nemo", and "Frozen." There are also two original songs: "Live the Magic", and "A Kiss Goodnight." The latter was composed by Richard Sherman and is sung by Ashley Brown, who originated the role of Mary Poppins in the Broadway musical.

Tinker Bell flies around the castle at the beginning of the show. And Nemo "swims" from the castle towards the Matterhorn during the dramatic Mt. Wannahockaloogie segment.

TOURING TIPS

Disneyland Forever The show is about 17 minutes long, including "The Kiss Goodnight" song at the end. The fireworks finale occurs about 14 minutes in.

From all the different vantage points, each view has its strong and weak points: The projections are by far sharper and best visualized on Main Street. The flying elements–Tinker Bell and Nemo–along with the specialized Matterhorn effect during the "Mount Wannahockaloogie" section are only well seen from the Hub area. Both Rivers of America and "it's a small world" have excellent views of the fireworks and are slightly less crowded and easier to get a last-minute spot.

To view the show from Main Street, you'll want to watch the Paint the Night parade from Main Street first. The fireworks start about 10 minutes after the parade ends. Once the parade ends move immediately to the middle of Main Street, making sure that you have a good view, unblocked by trees, of a good-sized patch of Main Street storefronts – that's where the images will be projected.

Disneyland Forever If watching from the hub, try to make sure that your view of the castle and the Matterhorn are not obstructed. At "it's a small world", standing in the middle of the parade route, to the right of the "it's a small world" queue entrance, should afford a good view of the projections and the fireworks. Along the Rivers of America the best view of the projections and fireworks is from the New Orleans Square side from the Pirates of the Caribbean bridge to the coffee cart near the entrance to the Pirates Lair queue.

Designated viewing areas for guests in wheelchairs and ECVs are available – ask a cast member.
