Beginning
January 3, 2006, call DVC Member services to add the dining plan
to your DVC reservations for April 1, 2006, or later.
Polynesian,
8pm show, has been cancelled for Wednesday, December 21, 2005.
Tony's
Grand Gathering - Price increases as of 1/1/06
Persons
10 and up $39.99; Persons 3-9 $19.99 (includes 6.5% tax and 18%
gratuity). It's an all you care to eat breakfast brought table-side.
Song, dance and character interaction included. Tony will be on
hand to help celebrate special occassions. After breakfast is
finished, you will have reserved seating at the very next showing
of Mickey's PhilharMagic.
If
you already have a Tony's Good Morning Gathering booked, it will
be at the old price UNLESS you change/alter the reservation.
NOVEMBER
2005
The
Diamond Horseshoe Dinner Buffet 11/23 - 11/26
The
Diamond Horseshoe at the Magic Kingdom Park will open temporarily
as a Table Service Restaurant serving a dinner buffet. Available
November 23 through November 26 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the
menu will include chicken, salmon, carved beef, turkey and an assortment
of sides and desserts.
MAKE
DINING RESERVATIONS 180 DAYS IN ADVANCE!
As
of October 28, 2005, you will be able to make all your
Walt Disney World table service dining reservations as
far as 180 days in advance! If you are staying at a Disney
resort, you will still be able to book reservations for your entire
stay, starting at 180 days from your arrival date. The new 180-day
advance reservation program applies to Disney child care centers
(Simba's Cubhouse, Never Land Club, etc.), and also other special
events like the Wonderland Tea Party. In conjunction with
this change to dining reservations, Walt Disney World will also
publish operating hours six months in advance, to enable
you to plan better.
CHANGES
AT CINDERELLA'S ROYAL TABLE!
Beginning
February 1, 2006, dining at Cinderella's Royal Table
will undergo several changes:

Breakfast and Lunch will continue as Disney Princess-themed
character meals. However, when you arrive at Cinderella Castle
for your reservation, a photographer will be on hand to
take pictures of your group in the lobby, before you are seated
in the dining room. A package with four 4x6 prints and one 6x8
print of your photo, as well as one 6x8 print of Cinderella Castle,
in a Cinderella photo holder (valued at $29.95 plus tax) will
be delivered to you during your meal, which will be from a fixed-price,
set menu. (Additional photos may be purchased.)
Breakfast: $31.99 ages 10 and up; $21.99 ages 3-9. Lunch: $33.99
ages 10 and up; $22.99 ages 3-9.

Dinner will become a fixed-price, set meal, also, hosted by
the Fairy Godmother, who will lead the observance of special
occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. You will also have
the chance to have your photo taken before dining, with a photo
package similar to that mentioned above offered to you during
the meal. In addition, you will receive a special, unframed, unmatted
lithograph (worth $50), given exclusively to diners
at Cinderella's Royal Table Dinner.
Dinner: $39.99 ages 10 and up; $24.99 ages 3-9.
NOTE:
Once these changes go into effect (February 1, 2006), payment
in full with a credit card will be required at the time of booking
for all meals at Cinderella's Royal Table. If you do not have a
credit card, the reservation cannot be made. All reservations
for dining at Cinderella's Royal Table prior to February 1, 2006,
will follow current pricing and deposit payment policies.
Magic
Your Way Plus Dining Plan WILL be accepted at Cinderella's
Royal Table meals, requiring TWO table service credits.

Hoop-Dee-Doo 9:30pm Show Cancelled
for 10/23 - Due to anticipated weather impacts as a result
of Hurricane Wilma, the 9:30pm showing of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical
Revue at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground has
been cancelled for the evening of Sunday, October 23. The first
two shows (5pm and 7:15pm) will occur as scheduled.
"Lunch
with Walt Disney World Animal Programs" at Disney's
Animal Kingdom Lodge begins November 1, 2005. Have an up-close-and-personal
experience with a Dolphin Trainer, Veterinarian or Animal Curator
with the new Disney's Animal Specialists who will share their
stories, passions and backgrounds over an authentic South African
luncheon in the Wine Room at Jiko...The Cooking Place. Each week,
a different presenter will meet with Guests in an entertaining
and informal setting. Chef Anette Gray-Grecchi serves up a traditional
South African feast for this uniquely Disney experience. The Lunch
Series will be held every Tuesday from 12:00pm - 2:00pm. Cost
is $65.00 + tax and gratuity per person. Guests 21+ can also enjoy
an optional Wine Pairing for an additional $15.00. Guests interested
in this exciting new dining opportunity should contact Shelley
Oulach with Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge at 407-938-7149. This
will currently be the only avenue to secure a reservation

Appetizer: Whole Wheat lavosh flat bread with Moroccan;
Chermoula and Organic Field Greens
Entree: Maize crusted and pan-roasted halibut, and oven-roasted
tenderloin with sweet potato and potato gratin.
Dessert: Pomegranate macerated fruit salad with homemade
yogurt.
California
Grill
(Contemporary) implents new credit card guarantee policy -- for
all reservations confirmed for Friday, October 21st and beyond
a credit card is required at time of booking as a guarantee. Guests
will be advised a $20.00 per person cancellation fee will apply
for cancellations within 24 hours or for any no shows. Guests
will need to provide billing address, card type, credit card number
and expiration date on each booking.
Effective
immediately (10/3/05) checks will no longer be accepted as payment
by Disney Dining for reservations requiring advance payment
(Cinderella's Royal Table, Hoop dee Doo Review, Sprit of Aloha
Luau or Mickey's Backyard BBQ)
The
Spirit of Aloha Luau at the Polynesian normally offers
Dinner Shows Tuesday - Saturday at 5:15pm and 8:00pm. On Sunday,
December 25, and Monday, December 26 both shows will be offered!

Big Changes at 'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort! As of Sunday,
October 2, 2005, the restaurant's character breakfast will
feature Lilo & Stitch and Pluto, who will join
Mickey. Chip, Dale, and Goofy will no longer appear at

'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort has a new
dinner menu!
From September 22 until October 5, 2005, El Pirata y el Perico
Restaurante in the Magic Kingdom is open temporarily, serving
a dinner buffet to guests referred from other Magic Kingdom table
service locations and to walk-in guests. No reservations are accepted.
Pinocchio Village Haus in
the Magic Kingdom has a new menu featuring Italian food.
Disney
Vacation Club Member Champagne Brunches will take place at
Citricos on the following Sundays: October 30, November 6, and
November 13, 2005. Prices are $49.00 plus tax and gratuity per
person for ages 12 and older, and $19.00 plus tax and gratuity
per person for ages 3 to 11. Seating is limited. For additional
information and reservations, call 407-938-3514 between the hours
of 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. EST., Monday - Friday. You can also log

On
November 1, The Turf Club at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort
& Spa will officially become The Turf Club Bar and
Grill. It will feature new expanded menu offerings. This includes
everything from signature drinks to sandwiches and other creatively
prepared American favorites, in a warm, casual setting featuring
indoor and outdoor seating areas. Both the indoor and outdoor
seating areas will offer table service for lunch and dinner. Visible
construction on the new dining area will also begin in November.
The enhanced dining area is scheduled to debut in Summer 2006
and will more than double the current seating capacity. The current
dining area will remain open during construction.
Magic Your Way Dining Packages will NOW be accepted for
Candlelight Processional Dinner Packages. All participating restaurants
will be one entitlement, except for Coral Reef which will require
two. You will still need to use a credit card to reserve your
Candlelight Package. Persons on the Dream Maker Bronze, Silver,
Gold, Platinum and Magic Your Way Premium packages are also accepted.

Restaurant
Akershus (Norway, Epcot) has a new name: Akershus Royal
Banquet Hall. The "Princess Storybook Dining is the name
of the character dining experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Upscale
resort restaurants change dress code to Business Casual! No
hats, swim suits, swim suit coveralls, tank tops, T-shirts, torn
clothing or flip-flops. You can wear - dress shorts, pants, jean
pants, collared shirts, blouses, sweaters, pants. Restaurants
now requiring Business Casual include: Artist Point (Wilderness
Lodge), California Grill (Contemporary), Citricos and Narcoossee's
(Grand Floridian), Jiko (Animal Kingdom Lodge), Flying Fish (Boardwalk),
and Yachtsman Steakhouse (Yacht Club).
New
Dining Reservation Policy for Disney Resort Guests
- Beginning July 18th, if you have a confirmed Walt Disney World
Resort Reservation (with confirmation number) you can book your
dining plans for your entire trip (up to a 10 day stay). This
begins 90 days in advance of your arrival date. DVC members are
advised to call DVC to make dining reservations, however you can
call the main WDW DINE line and provide your confirmation number.
Guests of the Dolphin, Swan, Shades of Green and Downtown Disney
Resort hotels are not able to use the new booking window.
AllEarsNet.com Columnist Anita Answer, who is in the World as
we go to press, reports: The Animal Kingdom Meal Plus Certificates
are no longer available at that theme park's restaurants.
I'm not sure when they stopped offering them, but when I tried
to buy one today I was told they are not available any more. (7/19/05)
The
dress code for the Contemporary Resort's California Grill
has been upgraded to "business casual" from "resort
casual."
The Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station in the Magic Kingdom
is closed again, this time with the added notice that it only
"operates seasonally." Meanwhile, the Pinocchio Village
Haus has still NOT changed over to the pizza/Italian sandwich
menu that we had heard was imminent. (7/16/05)
Effective
July 1, children's meals at Disney restaurants will be for
ages 3-9 (revised from ages 3-11). The Walt Disney World
Swan and Dolphin Hotel restaurants will be adhering to this
pricing guideline also, with the exceptions of Todd English's
bluezoo and Shula's Steakhouse (both located in the Dolphin).
Starting
Monday, July 25, at 7 a.m. EST you can book all special events
for the 2005 Epcot International
Food and Wine Festival, being held from September 30 through
November 13. Call 407 WDW-FEST (407 939-3378) to book events such
as the Party for the Senses, Wine Schools, Food and Wine Pairings,
Specialty Dinners, and more.
Along
with releasing special discount codes for Disney resort rooms this
fall, Disney announced last week that they will include a FREE
Dining plan add-on with a 3-night or longer Magic Your Way Package.
This offer is good for arrivals at Walt Disney World between August
21 and October 4 for a Magic Your Way package for 3 nights or longer
at a Disney hotel. To receive this special offer, you must book
by July 3, 2005. To book this offer, call 1-407-WDISNEY or your
travel agent.
Tomorrowland
Terrace Noodle Station in the Magic Kingdom is closed
until July 1, 2005. There is no word on why the restaurant
closed so soon after its recent reopening, or whether a menu change
is in the works.
The
new Fairytale Lunch with Cinderella and friends begins June
10 at Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom.The meal consists
of family-style salad and dessert and your choice of an entree and
non-alcoholic beverage. Price for adults is $23.99; price for children
3-9 is $12.99. There is a $10 per adult and $5 per child deposit.
Lunch is served from noon - 3 p.m. daily.
Priority
Seating become Advance Dining Reservations - After
years of being called "Priority Seating" and confusing
guests, Walt Disney World has finally changed the name of dining reservations
to "Advance Dining Reservations". This change is
effective immediately. The process is exactly the same as before,
no change to how far in advance you can book the Advanced Reservations.

Ariel (aka The Little Mermaid) will be among the Princesses
appearing at the new Princess Storybook Meal beginning April
10 in Epcot's Norway pavilion. For the character meals, Ariel will
don her ball gown and will circulate around the restaurant along
with four or five of the following Princesses and Leading Ladies:
Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Pocahontas,
Mary Poppins, Mulan. Characters are subject to change without notice.
New
Flavors at Sunshine Seasons in the
Land. During the time the Land pavilion has been closed
(scheduled to reopen in April), the Sunshine Season Food Fair has
undergone a renovation including its new name. The new eatery will
feature an open kitchen, five new stations and a centralized cashier
(think Pepper Market or All Stars/Pop Century Food Court). The wood-fired
grill will feature rotisserie items including Ancho-rubbed beef,
Moroccan chicken and grilled Atlantic salmon. The Soup and Salad
station will feature the freshest herbs and vegetables from The
Land greenhouse!
The
Asian Wok Shop offers noodle bowls and stir fry including a Mongolian
barbecue and wok station. Foods here will have a light healthy approach
that include Mongolian vegetable beef stir fry and a vegetarian
noodle bowl with tofu (sounds like what is on the new Tomorrowland
Terrace Noodle Station menu). Look for Black-forest ham and salami,
turkey mufuletta and grilled veggie Cuban sandwiches at the Sandwich
Shop. Finally, there will be a bakery. Each station will offer vegetarian
and children's items as well as grab-and-go foods.
Cinderella's Royal Table Character Dine -- Beginning June 10,
a new Character Lunch will debut at the Magic Kingdom! All your
favorite princesses from breakfast will now be at the midday meal!
The character lunch will feature family-style salad and dessert
and the choice of five adult entrees or children's meals along with
a nonalcoholic, non-specialty beverage. Lunch will be $23.99 for
adults (12 and older) and $12.99 for children 3-11. A deposit of
$10 per adult and $5 per child will be required (as is currently
the case with breakfast).
Disney's
Spirit of Aloha show at the Polynesian has been canceled
for March 2 and 3 -- 8pm show only! 5:15pm show still goes
on. (March 1 show at 8pm was cancelled also.)
The
character lunch at Magic
Kingdom's Crystal Palace has increased to $19.99 (plus tax)
per adult. A similar increase will be in effect when the Garden
Grill Restaurant, in Epcot's Land pavilion, reopens this spring.
Adult dinner and children's prices have not changed.
The
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue's 9:30
p.m. show is cancelled February 28, 2005.
Disney's
Spirit of Aloha show at the Polynesian has been cancelled
due to impending cold weather as follows: Thursday, February
10 -- 8pm show only is cancelled; Friday, February 11 -- 5:15pm
and 8pm shows have both been cancelled
Effective
Feb 4, you will no longer need to guarantee holiday Priority Seatings
with a credit card. The following holidays are included: Valentines
Day, Mothers Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE
and NYD. This change is only for Table Service Dining and does NOT
effect prepaid events, Cinderella's Royal Table or Princess Storybook
dining, recreation or other special events.
The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue's 9:30
p.m. show is cancelled February 1 - 3, 2005.
An
authentic Irish pub and restaurant, complete with traditional
and contemporary Irish music, storytelling and dance, is scheduled
to open in summer 2005, in the space formerly occupied by
the Pleasure Island Jazz Club. The pub, as-yet unnamed, will be
owned and operated by Great Irish Pubs Florida, Inc., which also
owns "Nine Fine Irishmen" at the New York-New York Hotel
& Casino in Las Vegas. The menu for the new restaurant is expected
to be a blend of traditional Irish fare with a modern twist. Pleasure
Island club admission will not be required for entry into the pub.

Beginning
January 19th, the Trail's
End Restaurant at Fort
Wilderness will begin accepting Priority Seatings. Trail's
End serves all you care to eat Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.
The
Plaza Pavillion
counter service eatery in the Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland is closed
for refurbishment.
Princess
Storybook Dining -- Begins April 10th -- Norway's Restaurant
Akershus in Epcot will begin offering 3 Princess Character
meals a day, adding lunch and dinner to the already popular
breakfast! Breakfast will continue to be American fare and lunch
and dinner will offer Norwegian Cuisine for adults and American
style for kids. All meals will be served family style at the table.
Until April 10th, Akershus will continue to offer the traditional
Norwegian dinner as well
as the Princess Breakfast.
