Reader Lynn Q. shares: After years of drinking that horrible concoction called Nescafe that is served almost everywhere on Disney World property I finally contacted guest services and was given the following list of places that serve real (as in not Nescafe) coffee: --
Forty-Thirst Street in Downtown Disney Have you found REAL coffee at Walt Disney World? If so, drop us a note HERE and we'll add it to the list! ADDITIONS TO THE LIST: Deb Koma: The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort restaurants serve Starbucks coffee. Mark Russell: Bongo's Cuban Cafe serves a great Cafe Con Leche and equally fine Cuban Coffee. We are ever on the prowl for a re-creation of the Cafe Cubano/Con Leche coffee we shared in Miami. Found, with a bonus of authentic Cuban and very reasonably priced nibbles. My wife Sarah and I share a late morning snack ordered at the walk up window and enjoyed on the patio. Our whispered comment to one another afterwards: "We can't tell anyone about this place: not crowded, cheap and good, doesn't last long in the World." Wendy Dunnigan: The Shades of Green also has a Starbucks kiosk that serves fruit, pastries and a variety of coffee drinks on the level by the AAFES store. And wonderful coffee on the first floor by the bus pick-up. Teresa Garcia: To add to the "good" coffee list: Morocco in the World Showcase at Epcot! Karen Craig: Wolfgang Puck's serves Illy Italian coffee. Yummy. Carolyn: Jiko serves a French press coffee that is out of this world! They use a very light and sweet roast of bean that you don't even need to add milk or sugar to. It's delicious black (and I don't drink black coffee). Mark James: My wife and I are avid coffee drinkers and need that little concoction at least once a day and usually more... I wanted to add two coffee places to the list. First, I have had coffee at Ghirardelli's and it is pretty good. Also there is a Starbucks coffee bar on the main level in the Hilton, at Downtown Disney. I'm not sure if you are interested in this tip for coffee lovers as well, but since we travel to Disney World twice a year for a few weeks each trip, a few years ago we purchased a small grinder and when we get off the plane, we head to the nearest Starbucks for our beans. Every morning we brew a pot of "real" coffee. There is also the new Joffrey's Coffee & Tea outlet at the Ticket & Transportation Center. Sondra: Regarding "real coffee" locations, I have found it at Writer's Stop in the Studios, and also at Narcoosee's in a presspot. S. Maroney: The Regal Sun Resort (formerly the Grosvenor) is just a short walk from Downtown Disney Marketplace -- they have Starbucks coffee available in the lobby. Larry Teasley: Unless I am mistaken, real coffee (French Roast) is served at Boatwrights. We were there last December and had breakfast there 2 times. Their coffee was great. Shirley Eaton: Good Coffee! Try the Writers' Stop at the studios. The flavor coffees are great along with the "regular" coffee. The cream cheese cookie goes very well with the coffee! Kim: The best REAL coffee is Kona coffee served at the Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney. It's good and hot and they give free refills. John:You can choose from a variety of the World's best coffees at Victoria Alberts. They serve a good Kona blend, and they also serve Jamaican Blue Mountain. Thais Kostul: They also serve real coffee at the Artist Point restaurant in the Wilderness Lodge. Ginnie Locke:Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom has real coffee! Josh Jones:I'm not sure about their regular and decaf coffees that they list on the menu, but last time I was at Spoodles on the Boardwalk, we ordered the press pot coffee for our table with breakfast. It was very good- I highly recommend it! Denise Sikes:Real coffee can be found at The Trails End Buffeteria in Fort Wilderness. If the coffee machine/grinder hadn't been so big I would have hauled it over to my campsite! lol! It was delicious and a relief to find REAL coffee in such an unexpected place! Dean:The Wave at the Contemporary serves "real coffee". It is an organic Columbian blend that only the Wave and Victoria & Albert's is currently serving. Joanne A.: I found real coffee at the coffee stand at the Transportation and Ticket Center by the ferryboat and Magic Kingdom monorail entrance. I walked up to them and asked "Is this real coffee? Kevin:More "Real Coffee" at WDW! "Staring Rolls" at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Not only is it "real" coffee they roast the coffee beans on sit. C. Applen:Regarding real coffee....we enjoyed a great cup of coffee at the Cape May Cafe character breakfast. Maggie:Maya Grill at CSR has some really great coffee too. We ranked it second to the coffee at Kona. We were told that was an Italian pressed coffee, but was not served as a pressed pot, only in single servings. Boatright's at POR has some real coffee too. It tasted like a bit more of a darker roasted coffee than what I normally drink, but it was very good . Jane Stirling:The coffee at the Tangierine Cafe in Epcot was excellent - I don't know what it was but I would be surprised if it was Nescafe. Reynic Compton:There is a kiosk that serves "real" coffee at the entrance of Animal Kingdom. It is located on the right before you even get to the bag check area.
