The Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship In February 2007, the Disney Cruise Line announced that it will be adding two additional ships to the fleet! German based Meyer Werft shipyard has the contract to build the two luxury liners. Just like the current Magic and Wonder, Disney's 2 newest ships the Dream and the Fantasy will also be "sister" ships. Same basic layout but with a few nuances to distinguish them. These new ships will be two decks taller than the current ones. The new ships will be purpose built with families in mind, and specially designed areas and activities for each member of the family to allow for both quality time together and wonderful individual experiences. The focus is to provide a setting where families can reconnect, adults can recharge and kids can immerse themselves in worlds only Disney can create.
The expansion will more than double the passenger capacity for Disney Cruise Line. Each ship will have 1,250 staterooms and will each be 128,000 tons. Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship Sets Sail March 31, 2012
